Our guide Frankio and Armando was so nice and kind. Frankio taught us about the nature and was helpful and very sweet to me and my friends. Made us feel comfortable and safe.

I signed up for this tour thinking I was about to embark on some hardcore jungle adventure—like dodging lava flows and swinging through trees like Tarzan. Spoiler alert: it’s not. But hey, it’s still a good time! The day kicks off with breakfast at a spot boasting jaw-dropping views of a man-made lake. Next up is the jungle walk at MisticoPark. They hype up those hanging bridges like they’re death-defying, but trust me, you’ll be fine (yes, even if you have kids who think they’re Spider-Man). You’ll spot plenty of wildlife—bugs, snakes, toucans, monkeys, and if you’re really lucky, a sloth just chilling. The best part? Nothing jumps out at you, so leave your horror movie fears at home. Then it’s off to the volcanic baths. The water ranges from “mmm, cozy” to “OMG, I’m being boiled alive!” But honestly, it’s heavenly, and you’ll feel like a soup dumpling in the best way. The tour wraps up with a late lunch at a local hotel, where you’ll finally sit down and realize, “Wow, I didn’t have to walk on lava after all!” The guide? A champ—sticking with you the whole way like a trusty sidekick. One warning: The drive is so twisty. If motion sickness is your nemesis, pop some pills beforehand unless you want to turn the van ride into a personal disaster movie. All in all, would recommend—just maybe dial down your Indiana Jones expectations!

Overall, not a bad experience. Guide went backwards on hanging bridges when multiple other tour guides advised us to turn around. Finally stopped by staff and told to go the correct way. My husband ended up leading us the correct way. Hanging bridges, rainforest, and hot springs were beautiful! We couldn’t see the volcano due to rain but that’s expected in a rainforest!! Breakfast and lunch was good. Long ride from Secrets Papagayo but we expected that was well.

This tour was outstanding. Our guide, Arturo, was fantastic! He was extremely knowledgeable and informative and he made it a fun and memorable experience. One thing we were unprepared for was how rainy it was in the rain forest (guess we should have known). Bring a rain jacket, change of clothes, extra towels, bags for wet clothes and something warm for the ride home.

Wonderful day. Easy hotel pick-up, friendly driver. Great breakfast and lunch included. Beautiful views at both breakfast and lunch restaurants. Amazing guide. Awesome views of Arenal Volcano and hanging bridges. We saw monkeys, sloths, birds, insects and then had a relaxing time at hot springs. Overall a great tour.
