Departing from La Fortuna,
Tamarindo Beach, Flamingo Beach, and the Papagayo area, the tropical rainforest in the Tenorio Volcano National Park and magnificent turquoise blue Rio Celeste waterfall awaits us. A local expert guide will company you.
On the drive, it's possible to see three active volcanoes all in a row while traveling through three different types of forests. We will briefly stop to admire the 400 year-old Tree of Peace.
We'll cool off in the Celeste River by taking an hour-and-a-half tubing tour down the blue river and stoping in several places to swim and snack on fresh regional fruits. After tubing, we will have a typical lunch and return along the best route to viewing wildlife, such as two types of sloths, colored frogs , monkeys, exotic birds, and much more.
On the way back we will stop at the Souvenir Market and then return to your resting place.

5.00We had a fabulous time from start to finish! Michelle was very friendly and helpful on the hikes, as I take a bit longer due to needing to use a cane. She helped get some great photos and answered all of our questions. Extra bonus points for being super helpful when Grandma had a dizzy spell and we weren't sure if we would have to cut our trip short. Our guide at the Sanctuary went out of his way to find animals for us to see and got close up shots I didn't think were possible! He was great about talking animal and survival facts with the kids. The tubing was extremely fun! The guides were super friendly and answered all sorts of questions and even managed to find us some monkeys to see! Fabio was our driver and the best we have had so far on our trip. These roads take skills and he was great! Definitely recommend this trip! It is a long day, but well worth all the memories!

5.00Loved our guide Carlos! He did his best to show us everything and answered all of our questions. We saw vipers, sloths (with a baby!), posion dart frogs, red-eyed tree frog and learned a lot about nature. The tubing was very fun and exciting.

5.00Obed was a great guide and very knowledgeable of the wildlife. Expect rain and pack extra dry shoes and clothes. The final stairs to the waterfall were ruined in a mudslide a couple months ago but you are still able to get a great view.

5.00My partner and I had the best time! Water tubing was so much fun and the view going down the rapids and river stream of the Rio Celeste was priceless. Lunch at a local soda was so delicious. We were in the good hands of our guides - water tubing instructor/guide, wildlife expert and our overall day tour guide Obed.

5.00Carlos and the tubing guides are phenomenal. Carlos is extremely knowledgeable about everything and anything you ask him, he has got phenomenal energy, he is very kind and polite and willing to help in any in every way he can, he is an extremely competent and fast and technically advanced hiker, his English is great, he is very accommodating and organized. The tour overall was great, despite the Rio celestial river being brown due to rain. Lunch was great, we got some great pictures, and the wildlife walk at the end was flexible for our needs and we saw some great wildlife up close. All of the guides involved here really lovely experience up, and make it so much more enjoyable. When I come back to Costa Rica, I will definitely be booking another tour with Carlos and this tour company

5.00This was such a great day! Allan was such a wonderful guide! He was not only kind & patient, but was also amazing at spotting wildlife for us! He is really knowledgeable about the plants and animals & helped us get great photos of the wildlife with our iPhones too! We saw 6 sloths, including a baby sloth, monkeys, toucans, beautiful frogs, a viper, etc. The lunch was delicious, the tubing so fun & adventurous, the hike to Rio Celeste was beautiful, and the animal sanctuary was awesome. It’s about a 12-13 hour day (from JW Marriot), so thanks to another reviewer’s suggestion, we packed snacks & were really glad we did. Our kids are ages 8-12 & everyone had a blast. Thank you again, Allan, for making it such an amazing day!
