Its important to know that we require at least 2 adults per kid as we require 1 adult to paddle and the other one to take care the kid. If there is 1 adult per kid we will charge a extra fee to get an extra person to paddle with us for this tour

What To Expect
The trip begins with a 20-minute drive from Fortuna to the river. Float down the river for approximately two hours, during which you will have an opportunity to see much of Costa Rica’s famous wildlife and have an interactive conversation with the guide. The boat trip down the Peñas Blancas River offers a relaxing way to enjoy the abundant wildlife surrounding the banks of this lush paradise. Take pictures of the rain-forest canopy teeming with monkeys or take a closer look of a tropical bird with your binoculars while you float in the oar boat. The naturalist will paddle and you can just relax like the iguanas nearby sunning themselves on the branches. At the end of the river portion of this trip, you will arrive at a local working farm where the owner is a well known Costa Rican horse breeder and trainer. His wife makes delicious homemade typical snacks and serves these treats with our world renowned coffee made the old fashioned way. If you prefer juice over coffee there is something for everyone’s desires.

5.00Our guide Pablo was incredibly kind and knowledgeable about the animals and plants living in and around the river. He navigated the boat safely and skillfully through the water. Even though it rained a bit, we were still able to spot plenty of wildlife, including toucans, iguanas, various birds, and even a monkey. At the end, we were treated to delicious banana bread and other tasty local snacks at a nearby farm. Highly recommended!

5.00JC was a great tour guide. Knowledgeable and friendly, with a great sense of humor. We saw just about every animal a Costa Rica tourist can hope for, two kinds of monkeys,crocodile, sloth, and a host of birds. This trip was a nice contrast with the more active hiking tours. Relax, enjoy the water, and let nature show you its wonders.

5.00My husband and I had the best time on this float! Our guide Chino was so knowledgeable and friendly. Even though it ended up pouring down rain in the middle of it, we had a blast and saw a bunch of animals. We even saw an alligator out of the water! Would recommend

5.00We had such a great time on this tour, definitely a highlight of the trip. Juan Carlos and Will are excellent guides. Super knowledgeable and very personable, they really went out of their way to make sure we saw all the animals possible, they have an amazing eye for spotting them! We saw troops of monkeys, caiman, tons of birds, a sloth and a baby porcupine. I would highly recommend this tour.
