What To Expect

Here you will bring out your adventurous spirit walking through crystal clear and refreshing waters, descending over 4 spectacular walls of the Arenal River canyon, jumping over 3 natural pools, admiring the beautiful nature and wildlife, 2 zip lines or canopy lines that cross the canyon , all in one place, that's why WE ARE MORE THAN A CANYONING. Even if you do not have previous experience, our professional guides will explain step by step how to complete the equipment before the tour. We have the security of our recognized brand teams in this type of activities and all trained personnel. We finish with a gentle walk along the banks of the Arenal River with its calm and crystal clear waters. Then we will go into the forest to walk to our restaurant La Roca where some delicious natural drinks will wait for us, and of course an exquisite typical lunch. WHAT INCLUDES: Transportation, bilingual guide, water, typical lunch and equipment. WHAT TO BRING: Camera, closed shoes or tennis shoes, repellent, swimsuit, sandals, extra clothing and sunscreen.

Very well organized tour. We did the afternoon tour with our 10 y/o and were picked up right on time. We ate lunch at the Mistico Park cafe first, then were transported to the water canyoning area, where we listened to safety instructions and geared up. Our tour had 18 people and 5 guides. It was a very unique experience that included waterfall rappelling, 2 zip lines and several jumps into the river. Expect to get completely soaked. Wear your water shoes or tennis shoes with good traction. We felt very safe with the rappelling and zip lining. I think having such a large group was a bit of a challenge, though. The scariest part were the jumps into the rapids because there are some rocks under the water that you can’t see. Make sure you jump exactly where the guides direct you. There is a nice uphill hike at the end of the tour and a fresh towel and bottle of water waiting for you.

Cesar, Jose, Byron, Kendall, and Elder were incredible. This was easily our favorite tour in Costa Rica. It was total adventure. We felt completely safe while canyoning, rappelling, ziplining, and jumping. The guides were knowledgeable, fun, and encouraging. Highly recommend spending a few hours with La Roca!

Cesar, Kendal, JC, Ronell, Elder, Jose, and team were exceptionally awesome guides. Their understanding of the ecosystem, physicality of the adventure, and elements was impressive as they taught us basics of canyoning and rappelling, as well as the coaching as we applied these learnings immediately afterwards on a spectacular National Geographic like trek through the river trail at the base of Arenal Volcano.

DO IT! Guides are knowledgeable, super fun, and take pics for you for affordable price! Also get a little zip lining, too, so super fun variety of things in a 4 hour excursion. Also lunch is provided and delicious!

Super fun! Randy, JC, César and the whole team did a great job from explaining things, to organizing pickup and lunch, and ensuring everyone had a good time. If you’re looking for some fun adventure in Arenal, definitely book!

This was amazing! The guides were super nice and helpful. Each part of the trip was guided with a demonstration and explanation of what we were going to do. There was not any issue with language as the guides spoke English very well. I traveled with my husband and two boys, aged 8 and 11. They highly recommend this adventure even if you might be hesitant to participate in an activity like this.

What an amazing experience! They picked us up in the morning. When we got there, they went over how to rappel and then helped us with the gear. We went in the morning and it was my family and the guides. No one else. They walked us through everything. It was super exciting. Would do it again. Thanks so much. Recommend it.

We really enjoyed this tour. The team was great. Everything went very smoothly. They reached out a few days ahead to coordinates transport; very friendly and funny team. Very safe and they make sure everyone is comfortable and enjoy themselves. Our team was Cesar, J-C, Jose and Kendell, and the second best driver they had ;) Can’t go wrong with this tour, good value for money.

This was our favorite excursion by far! Being able to zip line, rappel and cliff jump in one experience made it a great deal for the money. I was terrified leading up to this outing but the guides made it safe and super easy!
