Balsa River for an adventure you won’t forget anytime soon! Stop along the way to rest a bit, do a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit. After white water rafting, you will get a clean towel and a water bottle, and we’ll take you to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch
Daily tours leave at 08:30 am from La Fortuna for our Class IV White Water Rafting Adventure on the Balsa River and includes round trip transportation from local La Fortuna hotels, all equipment, guides, fruit on the river, towels, water, & costarican lunch. We come back to La Fortuna town at 13:30.
This tour is appropriate for anyone with 12 years and older.

What To Expect
Arenal Rafting’s Class IV adrenaline-packed white water rafting adventure is a thrilling rafting experience within the Costa Rican rainforest. For those in good physical condition, we’ll take you for a 15-kilometer ride down the river you won’t forget anytime soon! Stop along the way to rest a bit, do a little swimming, and enjoy some fresh Costa Rica fruit. After white water rafting, we’ll take you to a local restaurant to have a Costa Rica style lunch. Daily tours leave at 9:00 am from La Fortuna for our Class IV White Water Rafting Adventure and include roundtrip transportation from local La Fortuna hotels, all equipment, guides, fruit on the river, towels & local lunch. This tour is appropriate for anyone 12 years and older.

4.00great guides. Good operation overall, but a little disorganized in the morning we ended up on a 2/3 trip instead of the 3/4 trip we signed up for. SKIP THE FOOD… it made me sick for two days

5.00Our first time rafting, and it will not be our last. Rupert was our guide, he was AMAZING. They went out of their way and stopped along the way to show us sloths. Refreshing fruit break while rafting and amazing food at the end of it all.

5.00The rafting experience was amazing. Never felt unsafe at all even when Carlos flipped us out of the boat. They swiftly picked us up and we continued on. Our guide was funny and crazy jumping up in the boat. Lots of fun and exciting.

5.00Amazing adventure and my husband was ready to sign up for it again the next day! There was a huge group, but it was managed very well. We never felt rushed or unsafe. Our guide Braulio Machillo was quite the character and very knowledgeable. He was constantly pulling tricks and pranks that kept my kids laughing (11m, 13m, 15f). The rapids were exciting and my husband and older two got launched from the boat. I'm still laughing over how many smiles my kids had the entire day. The picture package is a great value and will definitely make our Christmas card next year.
