We are the only company that offers an authentic night hike inside the Rainforest, at the base of the majestic Arenal Volcano. We are also the only local company certified as Family & Kids Friendly, ideal for all ages.
Accompanied by an expert naturalist guide who will make this experience educational, safe and fascinating. We will explore the trails of Mirador El Silencio, one of the best areas of La Fortuna, in a privileged environment for its proximity to the volcano.
We will look for emblematic frogs such as the hourglass frog, Blue Jeans frog, bullfrog and red-eyed frog. In addition, you will be able to observe exotic insects, snakes such as the tab viper, Velvet, Stone Hand and coral snakes. With any luck, we'll also see sloths, possums and anteaters.
To enjoy this experience safely, it is essential to use closed shoes, as we walk along nature trails in the middle of the jungle.

There were lots of beautiful frogs, insects, and snakes to see. The transportation was easy and comfortable. The tour is kind of rushed and the flashlights they give are too weak. They do give you amazing closeups of the animals after the tour. Bring your own flashlight because it would make the experience better. It’s not an overly long trek, but it does have lots of steps and tree roots, so it might not be great for people that walk slower.

We really enjoyed the night hike. The guide was so skilled and pointing out flora and fauna . We felt safe with our flashlights, it was very rainy so hiking boots and rain jacket were a must.

We had an amazing night walk in the rainforest. Our guide “Nei” was energetic, fun, and incredibly knowledgeable. We spotted so much wildlife — frogs, spiders, a snake, sleeping monkeys, birds, and more. The whole experience was incredibly fun and exciting. Truly a highlight of our trip and highly recommended!

Guide was very knowledgeable and we saw lots of wildlife, including a lot of red eyed tree frogs. The experience would have been better if groups were smaller, at times it felt rushed and cramped because of so many people trying to see the same thing. If you get headaches be aware that the torches are very bright and the children on the tour will all shine them in your face.

It was an interesting walk through the forest at night, we did have trouble seeing any animals but saw lots of frogs, bugs, birds sleeping and one small viper. It is a slow paced tour.

Great tour that allowed us to see animals we would have never found on our own. Learned so much about Costa Rica, its ecosystem and the wildlife

We had an excellent experience with Wildlife Tours CR. Our guide Brandon was very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. During our walk we saw fireflies, five snakes including a large fer de lance, many spiders, insects, and a wide array of frogs.

Nathan was a great tour guide. Very experienced and knowledgeable about the local wildlife and fauna. He was passionate about teaching the beauty and the danger of the rainforest. So much so, he was very excited when we found a fer-de-lance in the middle of the staircase of the path. He was fearless in showing us the snake, but at the same time, Fairley respectful and made sure that he and his fellow tour guides removed the snake safely without danger to us or to the local wildlife. If you’re looking for a experience tour guides, I would highly recommend using this company and Nathan.
