This is a wonderful tastebud experience as you hear the history of coffee and chocolate from a Costa Rican perspective. Highly recommend this particular place as they are very thorough in their instruction and offer excellent samples.

Exceeded our expectations. Tour was engaging, informative and offered a ton of variety so kept it fun. Tasted different types of chocolate, coffee sugar cane juice, etc We were unsure if it was something we wanted to do with our two kids but so glad we came. A must do in my opinion when in the area. Alberto was awesome!

Amazing experience! Our tour guide Johnathan was super informative and his English was probably the best among the tour guides I’ve been with during my stay at La Fortuna. You learn so much about chocolate and chocolate, we also got to see different species of toucans (super lucky to see during the tour), which really elevated our experience. This is a must do activity if your a coffee and chocolate lover, but foremost, someone that loves experiences.

Very knowledgeable about coffee and chocolate. We loved the tour and the in-depth details about the growing, harvesting, and processing of the cocao beans and coffee beans to make the final product. Would recommend to others.

Ros was an excellent guide and teacher! With over 5 years experience at North Fields he knows his stuff! So much knowledge and many tasty things along the way! I have a severe peanut allergy and he was very helpful in communicating what was and was not safe for me to participate in.

An excellent tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide (Estaban). The tastings were delicious and the facilities were well maintained with an aesthetic and layout that balanced the jungle with the structural elements. Esteban lead us through the harvesting and processing of coffe and chocolate with a lot of interesting detail and answered some of my more esoteric questions very well.

We’ve just took this tour couple of days ago and we couldn’t be happier! We learned a lot in this tour! Valerie was a fantastic host and she provided us with a ton of information on both processes of making chocolate and coffee. Needless to say that the large variety of samples made us very happy as well. We felt not being rushed. It was one of the best experiences while travelling in Costa Rica. Thank you Valerie! My Husband and I attended this coffee tour and absolutely loved it!! We learned so much about the coffee and chocolate making process & thoroughly enjoyed our samples. Valerie was a fantastic tour guide! She was extremely knowledgeable and kept the experience engaging. This is a very well thought out tour and the group sizes aren’t too big either. We really liked that North Fields is family owned and their pride in their products is evident throughout this tour. Click the button to book! You won’t be disappointed.

My husband and I enjoyed seeing the cacao trees, learning about how chocolate is made and tasting the different types of chocolate. We also learned about coffee, and sugarcane while participating in hands on demonstrations.

This was an interesting tour, but it felt more like a coffee focused experience than a true coffee and chocolate tour. While there was a presentation covering both coffee and chocolate, the activities leaned heavily toward coffee. The tour included two coffee tastings, one sugar cane tasting, and a single chocolate related activity. Overall if you’re a coffee lover, this tour will be right up your alley
