Arenal Hanging Bridges

Walking starts at the reception building at Mistico Park. Walkers take a loop trail made by cement sorrounding the private natural tropical forest reserve located close to the base of Arenal Volcano.

Our tour guide Edgar was excellent. He was very informative about every aspect - the history of the park, details of the insects,snakes, flora and fauna. We had plenty of time to cross each suspension bridge taking photos and observing the views. We had a mixed walking ability group and Edgar made sure that everyone was comfortable with the routes he was choosing. Being able to see species through his telescope was amazing. We saw creatures and plants we would have never spotted on a self guided tour. Highly recommend.

This tour was beautiful, don’t miss it. The rainforest and animals are magical, but what put it over the top was our tour guide, Angelica. She was warm, friendly, funny, knowledgeable, amazing. It wouldn’t have been the same without her. Thanks for an amazing visit!

Amazing nature, very knowledgeable guide, fantastic adventure . Highly recommend it. We spent half a day in this park, crossed canopy hanging bridges, admired wildlife and the rain forest. Overall the entire journey in Costs Rica started in La Fortuns which gave a high standard start to our 3,5 week discovery trip

Memorable guided tour of the Mistico Hanging Bridges led by the very experienced Edgar. He was able to spot beautiful birds including a toucan and flycatcher, snakes, monkeys and so much more as well as explaining about the rain forest eco system, the trees and plants. Edgar was so knowledgeable and engaging. A great guided tour and not to be missed if you're in the area.

Guide was fantastic and friendly. Although you can absolutely do this tour on your own, it’s so much easier to see wildlife with a guide. We saw snakes, frogs, snails and monkeys with the guide. Bridges were unreal. An absolute must do!

My husband and I had our own guide, who was so knowledgeable, helpful and so nice. With Juan Carlos “JC” we got a fantastic tour! With his binoculars he could show us the animals, even they were far away.

Great guide Gabriel, he knew a lot and pointed out birds, animals and bugs that we never would have seen on our own including a pit viper right off the trail. I am terrified of heights and wasn't sure I would make it over the first bridge. He let me go ahead and made sure that I was the only one on the bridge to minimize the movement. We had him again later that night with a different tour company and so glad we did. The park itself is well done and the bridges looked new and well kept. I would go again. We went early am and it wasn't crowded at all.
