Keep your eyes open for a chance to see toucans, sloths, monkeys and other exotic wildlife. After canyoning, you’ll head back to Pure Trek’s headquarters to enjoy in a delicious, garden-fresh lunch. Repelling the waterfalls

5.00Our family of six adults of a wide variety of adventuresome spirits with agents 35 to 71 had a blast repelling the canyons in the waterfalls. The guides were true professionals but made everything so fun and were great confidence builders. The safety precautions taken were outstanding. The monkey drop was hilarious! Wear sturdy soled shoes as there was quite a bit of hiking between the repels on packed dirt and medium sized rock and tree roots pass.The trails between the repels have strong cables for handrails, which were so helpful once our feet were all wet and the rocks seemed slippery.. We had three members of our party who are scared of heights, but who absolutely loved the experience. We went on the first tour of the morning and there were no bugs. One of our guides was Myron, and he was so friendly and explained things clearly. Two of us in our party had done this tour 10 years ago. Absolutely I would do it a third time. It's not like anything else and the waterfalls on the canyons are beautiful.!

5.00The highlight of our trip to Arenal! We did other excursions this week and the family all agree that waterfall rappelling was the most fun. Well worth the cost. The lunch was great too. We bought the photos and had a lot of laughs watching them later.

5.00Diego and all the other guides were so kind during the whole repelling experience! They truly made all of us feel safe. The tour was thrilling and was just the perfect amount of length. The monkey drop is something you do not want to miss out despite how scary it sounds. The photo pack was reasonable with cost and the photographers do an amazing job! Would highly recommend!

5.00This was our first experience doing any kind of rappelling much less over waterfalls in a foreign country. The guides and Company Representatives created a very safe environment where we were not worried about our personal safety. The sheer excitement and novelty of the experience was overwhelming. They provided safety equipment and training to enable you to understand the mechanics of the actual rappel itself. There was several company employees that were all working together to ensure your experience was memorable. Many of them had well over a decade of experience doing this, and it again reassured us for our safety in such a unique experience. They also provided photography and videos that you could purchase. The quality of these was amazing. This auction allowed a very memorable way to relive the experience. We are both in fairly good physical shape, but it should be noted that there is definitely some physical limitations that may be present for you. There's extensive hiking, climbing of ladders, and other physical activity that we would consider at least medium level activity. One small detail to consider is that wearing the required water shoes is important, but these do not work well on the very rocky trails that exist between the different waterfalls. Overall, we thought it was a great experience. I would highly recommend it with a small caveat that you should be aware that it is not a rudimentary activity as far as physical requirements.

From the moment Jorge and Jose picked us up for the trip until we returned the entire team exuded confidence, friendliness, and a safety-first focus. As first timers among the group, the guides made us feel safe, confident, and gave clear and simple directions in multiple languages as needed. This is a must do for anyone who enjoys adventure activities and for varying skill levels. We knew in the first five minutes rappelling that we were in trusted hands and could just enjoy the experience to the fullest. The scenery is stunning and the staff exemplifies warmth and caring, they truly want you to have a great time. Highly recommend!

5.00Pura vida, to the fullest! Highly recommend for a modest adventurer looking for an adrenaline rush. The waterfalls are beautiful and the rappels are thrilling. Don’t forget to soak it in - it’s a lot of excitement in a short time. Jorge and the staff made it feel fun and easy. Their attention to safety and clear explanations helped me feel comfortable.
