What To Expect

Arenal 1968 Volcano View & Trails

The tour starts with a hotel pickup followed by a 30-minute drive to the 1968 Arenal Volcano Park, where you will start your activity, a 2.30 hour hike to the base of Arenal Volcano. The hike is fairly easy and most of it is over flat ground. The goal is to arrive at a Dry lava field from 1968 eruption (this part of the trail is rocky), see it, talk about it and give you all the history about the Arenal Volcano.

La Fortuna Waterfall

La Fortuna Waterfall is an amazing natural spot, about 70-75 meters tall. To get to the bottom, you'll need to go down and then climb back up around 500 steps, but it’s totally worth it. There are safe spots where you can swim and enjoy the fresh water. This is the perfect mix of adventure and tropical beauty in Costa Rica.

Beautiful Beautiful! Must experience the views! The hike wasn’t too bad. My legs were burning but very doable. Bridges at Mystic were incredible. It was a little rainy of course. But fun! Waterfall was gorgeous. Prepare for many stairs! Couldn’t swim due to rain but still worth it! Jose our guide was great! Food was yummy!

Our favorite part of this tour was the hanging bridges park. It was absolutely beautiful! There is some strenous walking around the volcano and to and from the waterfall as stated in the description of the tour. The meal we had was one of our favorites in Costa Rica.

Greatly organized tour. Wilbert is a very professional and knowledgeable guide. We were able to spot beautiful birds and multiple wild life. Volcano hike was great with beautiful views. We greatly enjoyed the hanging bridges as well as the water fall.
