Note: We recommend visiting Hagia Sophia after 2:30 PM for fewer crowds and shorter lines after 2:30 PM.

Children under 7: Tickets are free and can be obtained at the ticket booth with a valid passport or ID.

IMPORTANT!

There are two lines at Hagia Sophia:

1. Ticket purchase line

2. Security check line

With this ticket, you cannot skip the security check line. Everyone must go through security.

AUDIO GUIDE:

Inside Hagia Sophia, you will find panels in front of mosaics. Scan the QR codes with your phone’s camera to access the audio guide on your device.

Everything happens for a reason, and this time was no exception. We decided to book through Viator. We were a bit skeptical originally especially on how this will work out so early in the morning. We got in front of the main tickets booth and we met our tour guide, Mohamed. Booked the early tour and it was awesome. From the very beginning we got very impressed with his punctuality and friendliness. Once we were inside it got very clear that we got the best tour guide in Istanbul. Super knowledgeable and very helpful.

It was a line that went very fast, although we thought it would be a long wait. Once inside, the enclosure is magnificent, it is impressive.
