In this 3 hour class, you will learn how to transform the ordinary into the extraordinary with Master Carver Wan (Laong) Hertz and some of the best carvers in Thailand. Perk up your platingt to dress up your next dinner party with delicate creations from cucumbers, tomatoes and other items from the garden.
Create garnishes for beautiful plates and cocktails with basic carving techniques for flowers, leaves and traditional Thai patterns. You won't find this quality of carving experience anywhere else.

What To Expect
Learn the basics of Thai Fruit & Vegetable Carving with Master Carver, Wan Hertz. Come to our private penthouse studio overlooking the beautiful city of Bangkok. You will create beautiful flowers from everyday tomatoes, delicate leaves from ordinary cucumbers, and other exotic plates garnishes, watch them emerge as you learn the ancient Thai Fruit & Vegetable Carving Tradition. Classes are for ages 12+. Classes are taught 7 days a week between 9:00 – 12:00 and 13:00 – 16:00 Refreshments provided. FREE Carving Knife Included.

5.00We came to Bangkok for a vacation and this was TOP on our list. Wan is her nickname and she was FABULOUS ! Her English is very good, her expertise in vegetable carving is bar none. On the wall of her classroom there are about 13 Certificates from her skill, either by participating in a contest or teaching around the world. She is funny, interesting, helpful, patient, and relaxed. She and her husband are so sweet we could easily become good friends. A+++ is the rating I would give her. Couldn't have been any better.

5.00I went for the half day course with my partner. Wan was a professional instructor and taught us how to carve vegetables into decorative pieces of art for food presentation. She is very passionate about her work and would patiently help the students one by one . As this was our first time at food carving, it was not easy but we enjoyed ourselves and were amazed by how simple carrots, cucumbers and tomatoes can look so fancy!!

5.00I attended the 3-hours class with my mother-in-law. Wan, our teacher and master carver, is very friendly and approachable. She taught us how to carve flowers, baskets and leaves using tomatoes, carrots and cucumbers. We were each provided with a carving knife which we could bring home with us. The art of carving was definitely not easy but this class was a good and fun experience for us.
