This cooking class was wonderful on so many levels. The kitchen was very impressive and in a beautiful setting. The food was delicious and chef Mari couldn’t have been any sweeter. She taught us all about not just Hungarian food but also their traditional meals and celebrations. I HIGHLY recommend this event !

On a recent trip to Budapest I had the pleasure of meeting Marta and experiencing one of the best cooking classes I have ever taken. From the moment I arrived till the very end, it was not only a wonderful evening of delicious foods and equally fun learning how to prepare new delicious recipes. I would highly recommend taking a class from Marta, if you’re visiting Budapest.

This was our third class with Flavors of Budapest -- and the first time we've joined a group class. Having other chefs-for-the-day in the kitchen with us was so much fun! We loved not only cooking with new friends, but enjoying a dining experience featuring the meal we'd just prepared together. Definitely recommend!

We recently had a team meeting in Budapest with about 45 team members. One of our team events were learning how to cook some local foods and it was an overall hit. It was coupled with some finger, food and wine in the beginning, and they were even kind enough to bring out a slice of birthday cake so the team can sing happy birthday to one of our colleagues.Overall great experience and a fantastic event to have as a team or group.

Super nice experience with a very friendly and enthusiastic lady. The address of the location was easy to find, but it was exciting to get into the building, because there are several apartments and we had not paid attention to which number we had to be. We were received super friendly and by another cancellation, it turned out that my husband and I only got a private lesson with the two of us. The explanation about the chicken paprikash was very clear and step by step we could cut and prepare everything ready ourselves. The preparation of the accompanying Späzle (type of pasta) was also a discovery for us. In between there was also a snack with Körözött (spread of goat cheese with cottage cheese and paprika) We had a very pleasant contact with Marti and we had nice conversations about life in Hungary and the passion for cooking and local food. We also received tips for our further visit to Budapest and where we could buy certain products. This is highly recommended which we enjoyed very much. The chicken paprikash is already on the menu at home for when the children visit.

I can not say enough good things about Marti's cooking course! This was the second time we did it, the first time was several years ago on our last trip to Budapest and it was even better than I remember, if that's possible. Truly a highlight of both our trips! Marti is so warm and welcoming, knowledgable about Hungarian culture and helps navigate us through cooking the most incredible meals. Better than any restaurant we've been to and I only hope we can recreate this magic back home.

Marti prepared a fantastic four course Hungarian dinner for just the two of us. She was a fantastic host and gave us a couple of great recipes to try back home!

On a recent trip to Budapest, Hungary, my husband, daughter and I had a memorable authentic Hungarian dinner at the home of Marti (Kitchen Pixie Budapest). The breads, the chicken paprikash, the Gerbeaud layer cake and other goodies were delicious! I will treasure the recipes, make them often, and think of Hungary and the gracious hosts. Koszonom!

We had the most amazing food and wine experience with Kitchen Pixie in Budapest. Marti cooked us some wonderful food, shared the history and culture of the food, Hungary and her home region. Along with the food we had 8 wonderful bottles of South Pannonia wine with fascinating information on the wines, the wine region and wine culture of Hungary. This was a 5 star night, we are all looking forward to our next trip to Budapest we all agree we'd love to do it all over again with Kitchen Pixie!
