Our tour is planned by a team of gastronomy lovers. The team developed a complete platform where what we are looking for is that any lover of food and unique culinary experiences enjoy the culinary heritage of Mexico to the fullest.
We planned this experience with two years of research, if you take this experience you will meet people who preserve the gastronomic culture of Oaxaca, the vendors always offer us a unique experience of living the flavors in an incomparable way, because the producers themselves will talk to us and share with us of his wisdom.

We designed this tour to show the real face of Oaxacan cuisine, we work with experts in experience design and secret route planning, we have provided tours to gastronomic producers, photographers, gourmets, chefs and celebrities who like to get to know cultures from their food. We will visit representative markets of Oaxaca and eventually the tourist places that are easy to know, this tour is connected with our history, our friends and for you to taste the gastronomic biodiversity of Oaxaca. 5.00Brian Hernandez’s immersive market and food tour was a fantastic way to experience “real” Oaxaca and set me up for the rest of my stay. Brian was born in Oaxaca, speaks excellent English and is extremely professional, friendly and knowledgeable about local food and market life. He guided us through the huge Central de Abasto/20 de Noviembre markets, clearly at home among vendors who greeted him by name, and ordered for us so we could just sit and enjoy eating as locals do. Over a few hours we tasted an impressive range of dishes: campechano taco, churros, a quesadilla with squash blossoms, mole and more, plus a stop at the chocolate stalls run by families who’ve been there for decades. The flavours, smells and colours were incredible, and hearing the stories of the people behind each stand – including a woman who has been making quesadillas for some 50 years – made it feel very personal. The tour ends back at their base with a small mezcal cocktail, which was a perfect final touch. For anyone curious about Oaxacan cuisine and markets, this is an easy, safe and deeply satisfying way to dive in – come hungry.

1.00The description was totally false. It never mentioned that the tour was to the largest market in Oaxaca and it never mentioned that there were pink pockets there. We had to walk about 25 minutes through a very busy part of town in order to get to the market. Because our expectations were not fulfilled we left early and walked back to our Airbnb all in all, we walked 4 miles. This is the first yet tour tour that I have dinged as a big zero.
