Terrible experience. Spent most of the time in traffic. One of the most unpleasant city experiences I’ve ever had. Don’t bother!

Our guide Mitchell was excellent. He let us know when he arrived at the cruise port and advised where to meet him. We visited the highlights of the city as promised. Lunch at a local Indonesian restaurant was excellent - we were the only foreigners there at first but a few others (with their guides) came in after. We went to the top of the Independence monument (by elevator thankfully!) then visited the dioramas in the basement museum that showed the history of Indonesia from pre-history to modern times…very well done. Visited the Grand Mosque, where sarongs were provided so we could respectfully cover our knees and enter. Then we crossed the street to the Catholic Cathedral. Drove through Chinatown then headed back to the port (we were on a cruise). The road to the port was completely stopped and gridlocked due to heavy traffic as companies were trying to get their shipments out before the end-of-Ramadan vacation time. We ended up walking the last mile to the ship, past literally hundreds of stopped tractor-trailers loaded with cargo containers. Be forewarned if you visit during Ramadan! This tour is a much better value than what the cruise lines offer and can be much more flexible.

We had a full day’s adventure in Jakarta. We visited the National Museum Monument and went all the way to the top to get a spectacular view of the city. We then visited the National Museum which is packed with artifacts and art with meaningful history. Then a delicious lunch at an oriental restaurant then to China town, Old town & the old Harbor with a special stop at a puppet shop and demonstration of how he makes beautiful puppets on rawhide with beautiful paintings and wooden masks. A true artist. A great value and well planned day

We had a great tour with Nanda. She was very friendly and very knowledgeable about Jakarta history. She took us for a very good lunch. The driver was very good, driving in the crazy traffic and was always there when we were done.

We a great tour with Rizky! Very friendly and very knowledgeable about Jakarta history. Showed us some great food! He did a great job customizing the tour for us. The car was very comfortable, and there was a separate driver, so we didn’t have to wait around for parking. Would recommend!
