Selamat Datang Monument
This monument is depicted in the form of two people. consisting of a young man and a young woman giving a welcome. In the hands of the young woman is seen holding a flower arrangement, intended as a welcome. Located in the Central Jakarta and One of the most famous and well recognized landmarks in the city of Jakarta.
Merdeka Square
Merdeka Square is a focal point for Jakarta city which has many government buildings such as the ministry office, the presidential office, and even the landmark of Jakarta (National Monument) located in the middle of Merdeka square.

1.00The guide was a girl. Not fluent in English and share a lot of information, sometimes was a bit boring. We told her we needed it to be back the hotel at 1 pm to take a taxi to the train station. She said the same driver could drive us for an extra, we accepted. The problem was she kept showing things even though we needed it to leave. We arrived to train station at 3:30 pm and our train was at 3 pm. All the way she kept saying we will make it when it was obvious we wouldn’t. We could change the ticket to a 4 pm train. I also asked her to told me where I could change US dollars, she told me in old town. When we got there she offered to take money from the ATM and change us the money. She gave me for 100 US, 1.200.000 INR, it took me a while when I realize it was way less money, the normal change was 100 US for 1.650.000 IND, so was over charging and keeping 27 us for herself. Bad time!

5.00Phenomenal way to learn & explore all the highlights of Jakarta. Our guide, Gus, spoke terrific English and knew everything we asked about & more. The van was a brand new Toyota minibus and he drove amazingly. We hit all the highlights, including the history center with over 50 dioramas depicting the entire wild history of Indonesia. Went inside the huge mosque and the beautiful Catholic Church. Ate lunch at Batavia in Old Town - best historical bar I’ve ever visited. Overall, one of the best private tours I’ve ever taken in Asia!
