  Mr. Abdullah, our guide was very well known informed and explained everything in detail, with background information. The Indonesian (Sumatran Cuisine) was excellent. Enjoyed the trip, especially the pavilions of various provinces at TMII Park.

  Credit for making our trip a memorable one goes to Isabella Harsono our wonderful guide. She was so caring, efficient and humble. She was very well versed with the history and looked after us well.

• Needed a better guide

  This tour may have been better with a more experienced guide. Our guide seemed unsure of where to go many times, and stopped often to ask for directions. The day we were there was Lunar New Year combined with a nationsl political campaign, and traffic was quite dense that day. Just an ordinary city tour of a giant (10m people) city. Tinan Minatures Park was better, but couldn't salvage the whole day. You can probably skip the cathedral, mosque, and hero's monument (not enough time to go up. Would not do again.

  Tour guides were easily located and on time. Driver was great. Beautiful city with so much to see. Enjoyed our itinerary. Chinese New Year was going on. The Election campaigns were being held. Lots of traffic. Our driver knew how to avoid it and get us to out stops. On time return to cruise ship. Taxis were stuck for several hours! Temples were very nice. Lunch was good

  The itinerary was carefully planned. The guide and driver were both excellent and very personable and helpful. The highlight for us was the visit to the Indonesia Mini Park, which was fascinating and much larger than we had imagined. We also enjoyed the visits to the cathedral and mosque. The included lunch was interesting because of the variety of dishes available to try, but we are generally not lunch eaters and probably would have preferred to spend the time sightseeing, perhaps with more time around Merkeda Square or another site; lunch might be offered as an option with a somewhat lower tour cost without it? (I make these comments only because our guide requested our thoughts on what we might like if we took the tour again.) The bottom line is that we enjoyed this tour, our guide and driver, and we highly recommend it.
