What To Expect
Join a two-hour shore snorkel at South Poipu, led by a certified guide. After check-in, receive a safety briefing and snorkel lesson. Enter the water directly from the beach and spend up to one hour exploring calm reefs, observing tropical fish, sea urchins, and the occasional green sea turtle or monk seal. You’ll learn about Hawaii’s marine ecosystem, local species, and conservation practices as you swim. All gear is provided; flotation available for beginners. Please arrange transportation and note that state law requires keeping at least 50 feet from endangered wildlife.

5.00We chose this snorkel excursion since none of us had done it before and some of our family are not good swimmers. It was the right choice! Ona, our instructor was extremely patient and we couldn't have asked for a better first experience. We got to see sea turtles and lots of marine life. My only regret was that we scheduled this for our last day on the island and if we'd had more time we would have all done it again. Highly recommend this if you're new to snorkeling!

5.00So, unfortunately, about 20 minutes in I got very seasick and had to be led back to shore. As awful as that was, I have to say that the guides (Sophia and Brett, I believe ?) could not have been more kind or helpful. I am truly grateful to them for that! From beginning to end they were awesome!

5.00My guide David was so impressive sharing the types of fish we’d see. He carefully walked me into the ocean and we must have seen over 10,000 fish, different colors, sizes and shapes just as he predicted. He pointed out eels and other varieties of fish. Sea turtles swam around me and seemed very comfortable. The area we were in was very calm and this was such a perfect day. I visit Kauai every year and this will most definitely be on our list of things to do.

5.00This was our first time in Hawaii and our first time snorkeling. Our guide Keoni was amazing! He was very outgoing and knowledgeable about the sea life. He located a couple of turtles that we were able to get a close up view of. Keoni exceeded our expectations and made this such an amazing and memorable experience for my wife and myself! We would definitely do it again if we ever come back to visit the island!

5.00I snorkel often but my wife is reluctant to start. Brett did a great job from safety introduction, engaging in pointing out marine life, explaining ocean environment and the Hawaiian islands. My wife and the other novice snorkeling folks had a positive experience and would go again. We saw four turtles and I got to free dive as long as I was in visual contact, worked for me.
