We were unable to go into the DMZ and the 3rd tunnel on our tour because the military would not permit it on the day of our tour, they were doing electrical repairs. We still took an alternative tour our tour company offered that day that instead went to Imjingpak Park and the Udosan Observation Center with a view of North Korea. We were disappointed we didn’t get to go into the 3rd infiltration tunnel but we enjoyed the alternative tour and our guide Spring was fantastic!! She provided the history of the Korean Peninsula and shared the perspective of the South Korean people and how devastating the division of the country has been. It helped us to understand the significance of what we were seeing.

I had a great time taking this tour. I did the full tour, including the DMZ, the suspended bridge and the Q&A section with a North Korean defector. I fully recommend it - the highlight of the day was the q&a. My guide, Katie, was super kind and gave us a lot of useful information. All in all, I consider it a must if you have some extra days in Seoul :)
