Kun Khmer is most well known for its kicking technique, which generates power from hip rotation rather than snapping the leg. Kun Khmer consists of four types of strikes: punches, kicks, elbows, and knee strikes. The clinch is used to wear down the opponent. In the clinch, opponents battle for a dominant position for short-range strikes by way of elbows and knees. Cambodian fighters tend to utilize more elbow strikes than other martial arts in the region. In Kun Khmer, more victories come by way of an elbow technique than any other strike.

What To Expect

The Tuk Tuk driver will pick you up from your hotel and driving to see fighting Kun Khmer traditional kick boxing at TV stadium. The guide will stay with you until finish the boxing after that the driver will drive you back to your hotel or somewhere you would like to drop off.

Me and my gf did a traditional Kun Khmer training session whilst in Siem Reap and decided to go to a fight night whilst in Phnom Penh. This was an exhilarating experience, the fighters were incredible - we were blessed to see 4 great fights. It was fun to listen to traditional Khmer music. Our guide was brilliant, he ensured to answer any questions about the traditions of the sport and refreshments whenever we asked. Also, got us engaged with the fighters for a picture after their fights. Also, pictures in the ring afterwards, was another bonus.

Lovely experience watching not just experienced local but international fighters as well. You get to sit up close and watch. Would recommend, it was so much fun.

Had a great time! Fights were four different matches 5 rounds saw a TKO, great small stadium. My driver Vuthy was friendly and very outgoing will go again.

What an amazing night. Definitely worth five stars. Four matches in total and all covered for tv. All I can say is that those fighters are really tough and are at the top of their game. Try it

I was picked up exactly where I specified by the fantastic host who led us to the fights and was able to discuss and answer all my questions in perfect English. Lots of beer and GREAT food! I was hoping this would be pretty good, but it was FAR beyond my expectations (WOW)! If you have ANY sort of interest in fighting / combat sports this is ABSOLUTELY worth attending. 5 stars, well done everybody!
