We had an amazing time with Michelle! The tour was very well planned, they worked well with other organizations to give us the best experience at each destination. The food was absolutely delicious! I absolutely recommend!

The overall experience was really good. The pink lakes were amazing, pictures don’t reflect the real experience. The trip on the speedboat through the mangroves was also an amazing experience ( it lasted quite a while). We saw a lot of birds ( no pink flamingos tho), we saw 2 crocodiles and the mud bath at the end of the trip was also really good. Food in the restaurant was very tasty and presented nicely. The let down of the trip was the stop at the beach for an hour. The beach wasn’t very nice and it could have been skipped. Overall I’d recommend this excursion.

Dontt miss this trip if you are in Merida. It's a long drive to Las Colorados, but the moment you see it, makes it all worthwhile. Pictures don't do justice to the spectacular natural beauty. The beach stop was fine for a cooling dip, but it was very windy and crowded when we were there. The Rio Lagartos boat ride was great fun. The boat captains lwere great. While we didn't see flamingos ( who have all gone off to mate) they did find us a crocodile.. The clay mud bath was a fun, if smelly, experience and finally lunch was great. Some excellent choices and I highly recommend the ceviche. Our bilingual guide Saul and driver Miguel were excellent.

I wouldn't recommend this trip, especially if you want to have more than a few pretty Instagram pictures. The sites are great but unfortunately the tour guide was the worst we've ever experienced. She didn't care if anyone can hear her speak, although we asked her to adjust her microphone twice. It wasn't just us, no one behind the second row could hear anything neither in Spanish nor in English. We were very excited to learn about the salt lakes, the mangroves and the birds, we even bought a bird guide before the trip. Unfortunately there wasn't a lot of information on those either. On top you're in a van where half of the people can't even look out of a window, because either they are too low or there is none in the last row. We book guided tours regularly and usually have a great experience but this unfortunately wasn't it. Only go on this tour if you're there for pretty pictures but not to learn.

So worthy of the money! Highly recommend. We get huge luck by seeing Las Coloradas in full pink! The weather is soooo nice! Smooth experience, well-informed, well-organized. Yeah, you maybe eat a bit late, meal served around 2pm or later. We do stop at convenience store at trip beginning. Better bring some or buy some ahead to eat if you can’t handle starving!
