  From the moment we met our guide from World Pass Tour just outside the Louvre, we felt we were in for something special. Walking through the corridors of the Louvre was like traveling through centuries of art: ancient statues, Renaissance masterpieces … and then finally arriving at the painting we’d dreamed of seeing: the Mona Lisa. Standing there, hearing the hushed awe of fellow visitors, I felt a chill — it’s a painting everyone has seen in photos, but nothing compares to seeing it up close, with its subtle smile and mysterious gaze.
