5.00Monica was amazing. We were a group of 5, me, husband (who doesn’t cook), 2 small active kids, and mum in law ( who is not familiar with much western or Italian style cooking). But she hit it off great with us! She was super patient , friendly and yet ensured that she taught us everything in the most correct and authentic manner as much as possible . She was very accommodating of our needs ( vegetarian food, us coming a bit late, requesting last min to add on pesto for kids etc etc) and she ensured all of us were happy. More than learning how to cook pasta and eating it, the whole experience was very culturally immersive and super interesting and incredibly unique - different from anything we had ever done before ! We had such a good time and we took longer than planned to finish ( of course it took time to patiently teach the kids , prepare everything etc)- despite that, Monica and her husband never made us feel rushed at any point and were such kind, super hosts! We felt we were visiting our own family or a close friend ( we got to know her husband , met her daughter and pets ). Learning how Italians live, cook and eat was really an interesting experience for our group. Also, the town of Lucca and the little walk we did to the nearby grocer ( old style supermarket) was also very interesting. To top it all off, the kids had such an amazing time making pasta - they had never done anything like this before and they were engaged throughout - I could see they were having so much fun! I will highly recommend Monica and her cooking class - I hope to be back one day myself and hope to host her perhaps in Singapore one day! Monica, thank you for hosting us in your home and making it such a special experience for all of us- we wish you the very best. Lots of love from Singapore !

5.00Monica provided an awesome cooking experience that included a walk in her village and preparation of two different pastas. She even gave us a ride when we couldn’t get a taxi. We felt just like family.

5.00My friends and I visited Lucca and took a cooking class with Monica in her home just outside the city walls. Monica taught us how to make homemade pasta and sauce and educated us on the different types of flour and meats and how to enjoy a meal together, the italian way. Thank you Monica for inviting us into your home and showing us a true Italian experience. You are very passionate about people and cooking! We highly recommend using Monica and when we come back to Lucca, we will definitely do this again.

5.00Silvia was a delight. She arrived with dozens of beautiful roses to celebrate my birthday, she took us to several markets to pick out our ingredients, then took us to her fabulous home! She taught us how to make 2 dishes, very hands on, as much or as little as you like, and the food was delicious! She had a wonderful sense of humor, was warm and very inviting! I recommend this tour 100%, there was 5 of us and we all enjoyed it so very much!

5.00Everything was perfect! A highlight of our stay in Lucca! Silvia our hostess and chef took us shopping for ingredients at a wonderful local market. She was charming, friendly, thoughtful, professional and patient. In her well-equipped kitchen we learned traditional hands-on techniques for preparing two tasty Italian recipes following by a well appointed lunch served in her beautiful home in the heart of Lucca. Absolutely perfect day! Thank you Silvia. Hope you will visit us in San Francisco and Napa Valley when you travel to California.
