Valley of the Kings
Our Reflections Tour Guide will pick you up from your hotel/Nile Cruise by A/C Vehicle in Luxor to explore the West bank. Start with a visit to the famous Valley of the Kings . There are 63 tombs within the valley . The Royal tombs are decorated with Egyptian mythology which gives rise to the beliefs of the period.There are many known kings buried in the valley but of course the most famous being King Tutankhamun.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
Then journey onto the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatchepsuit also known as Deir el Bahari .Queen Hatchepsuit meaning Foremost of Noble Ladies was thought to have started the first Trading routes.

3.00Our Guide was very knowledgeable and provided too much detail- we only wanted a high level overview. We did not need to know the name of every god and associated hieroglyphs translated. Also the Guide did not accompany us inside all temples, leaving us at the mercy of unofficial guides to scam a tip.

3.00A guide who does his job, no more. The latter, a priori very friendly, did not hesitate to make us lunch in a restaurant, presented as upscale, where we paid $50 (for two) a meal that was not exceptional. The next day, in our hotel restaurant, we ate better for $18 for two. Good hearing...

4.00The Luxor day tour was a good experience in general. We went through the Valley of the Kings and Queens, as well as the amazing Hatchepsut and Habu Temples (highlight). One thing I was surprised about was that our guide following us around and teaching us about the history was quite inconsistent - we entered the tombs of the Kings and Queens by ourselves whilst he was waiting in a cafe nearby (so we had less context on those). But then we saw the Valley of the Workers, and our guide was a fountain of knowledge (which made it more fascinating/enjoyable). So word of advice is to ask for your guide to follow you as much (or as little) as you want.
