Join real ‘paniolos’ (Hawaiian cowboys) on an unforgettable journey as they lead you on horseback through Maui's Circle M Ranch. Meander up green pastures to the edge of a lush tropical valley, admire views of the Pacific seascape, and see lots of animals such as goats, sheep, cows, peacocks and Pua the pig on your morning or afternoon ride which includes, 45mins for briefing & mounting followed by a 1.5hr horseback ride.

What To Expect
Your journey begins at the Mendes Ranch Corral, where you’ll be greeted by paniolos. Then, hop on your tame, gentle horse and follow your guides on a 1.5-hour trail ride! 8:45am Departure: On your morning ride, canter up rolling pastures and down the edge of Waihee Valley to the coastline, where you’ll view the magnificent Pacific waters. Here, your guides will take photos of you with the majestic seascape in the background. You’ll then head back up to the corral. 11:30am or 12:15pm Departure: On your afternoon ride, ride up into the mountains to the edge of a lush ravine at a 2,500 foot (762-meter) elevation. Here, you’ll see some of Maul's largest waterfalls in the distance. Ride down along the edge of Waihee Valley, through taro patches and past plantation homes, before returning to the corral.

3.00As an experienced rider I was looking forward to the “trot and canter” section of the ride but there was none. It’s basically down a montain then back up and that’s it. It might be more fun for beginners and people that don’t ride on a daily basis. The views were and staff were great but it wasn’t worth the $185 dollars in my opinion. I did have fun, it was just a bit of a disappointment. Although if you’re just wanting to ride a horse that will give you little to no trouble then this is the place for you.

5.00To say that Circle M did not disappoint would be an understatement!!! I took my wife for her birthday - I was a nervous wreck (but I didn't tell wifey because she really wanted to go)...but the staff was so nice and engaging, that by the first few minutes riding I felt like a real cowgirl for sure!!! The staff was incredible, and my horse Chief the sweetest. Total recommend!!! See you guys in Dec for round two!

5.00Circle M did a great job. I am an advanced rider. I was impressed with the quality of the horses and the professionalism of the staff. The views are spectacular. Don’t expect to be able to trot or canter due to the terrain (though staff mentioned that can be accommodated on a private ride). The briefing at the beginning was super for beginners. If you’ve never ridden or rising as a family I would highly recommend Circle M. I would ride with them again.

5.00My wife and I did a private trail ride during our honeymoon in Maui. It was absolutely perfect! The backdrop of the coast and mountains was next level, and the history we learned on our ride was very interesting and informative. Not only was the ride perfect, but our guide took some incredible pictures of us along the way. Absolutely recommend this experience on your trip to Maui!

5.00Easy to find location, with small shop on site where you can purchase head gear or protective bandanas - latter needed as there is a lot of dust kicked up on the trail, particularly if you are at the back of the group. Staff are professional, friendly, and happy to help with all needs. Safety briefing first and then everyone is saddled up. The tour includes two stops to hear the history of the ranch and enjoy the stunning views over the ocean. Children are accommodated at 7 years or above, and staff offer extra support for them, keeping at the back of the group so they aren't under pressure. We spent a delightful morning with them!

5.00I've ridden horses a small handful of times and went on a ride with Circle M in late October with my girlfriend (an experienced rider) and we both had a blast. We set out with a group of about 12 riders with a large difference in experience between them all. The horses are very well mannered, with a few exceptions who loved snacking on the foliage on the ride, and didn't give the first-time riders many issues. I would go on a ride with them again if I had the chance. 5 stars.
Ask for Henry. He's the best horse I've ever ridden.
