    Exhilarating early morning hike for the family. Excellent guides and driving accommodations. Motor bikes on the trail were somewhat dangerous for hikers.

    The view is absolutely beautiful from the top of the mountain. Although, I was disappointed that I could not reach the top of the summit due to time constraints. I was told that I was being picked up around 1:00am from the Seminyak area, but my pick up was closer to 2:00am. By the time we got to the coffee place for a quick coffee, we had maybe 10 minutes to try to drink the tea and coffee before being transported to the start site. The start site seemed disorganized and we seems to just be standing around for several minutes before meeting our guide and getting food. The path up is narrow so it is hard to pass slower groups, and I was sad when I saw the sun starting to rise and I was only halfway to the first point. I was not able to get to the top of the summit because the guide said that the path would be too crowded with people also coming down the mountain. Overall, amazing view, but I wish the transport had picked me up earlier so the whole group could have made it to the top of the mountain in time for the sunrise. If you are also a more experienced hiker, a private tour may also be better since you could go up at your own pace.

    This was our favourite activity! It is physical as you walk up in the atmosphere and it gets a bit harder to breathe. There are different routes, according to your physical condition and the guide we had, was just a darling: patient and caring.

    This tour was amazing. Our driver was on time. Breakfast consisted of banana pancakes and coffee or hot chocolate before the trek began, it was delicious. Our trek guide Mangu was excellent with us as we went up Mt Batur. He stopped as many times as needed and encouraged us to keep going. He was great. Thank you so much for an amazing experience. A must do in Bali.
