Part of Mount Batur's massive caldera is filled by Danau Batur, Bali's largest crater lake. A smaller stratovolcano juts out of the water 2,300 feet and frequently reminds the local villages that they are situated on top of a geological time bomb.

Rising to 5,633 feet, Mount Batur can be submitted by physically-fit hikers in around two hours. Climbing Mount Batur offers a rare opportunity to enjoy an unforgettable sunrise from the top of an active volcano. The views of Bali from the top are stunning. Excellent views of Mount Batur can be photographed from the nearby village of Penelokan in Kintamani. 5.00My friend and I had the best time on this trek— thanks so much to our awesome guide, Yus, who made this a great experience. He was incredibly friendly and taught us a lot! terima kasih banyak, Yus! Before booking, we saw lots of mixed responses about the weather and difficultly. We went in January and the trail was pretty quiet on the way up and down (thanks again to Yus who timed this perfectly!) but it’s busy at the top. It’s a challenging walk, but you will have plenty of time and the path is pretty well defined— steep in some places, but not too bad if you’re happy to take it slow. I’d recommend having a jacket/poncho at the top, as it can get chilly when you sit down for breakfast. The pick up was also really smooth and made getting to and from Batur super simple —thanks Kadek!

5.00Komang did an excellent job showing us around the incredibly beautiful island of Bali and was an incredible guide! He took us to mount batur to hike the volcano and watch the sun rise from the peak, showed us uluwatu temple and told us all about the religious and historical significance, and drove us from the southern side of Bali to Ubud, showing us the very photo worthy rice paddies and coffee plantations along the way.

5.00I visited Bali in September 2019 and booked everything with Bali bliss tours. Booking with nyoman crocodile was very easy . We covered several tours like mount batur trek, sunset uluwatu tour , day trips and Tanah lot temple tours . Our driver Bagus(+62 813-3752-5551 ) was extremely wonderful and well spoken in English and flexible to our requests . I recommend you to book them for your next trip to Bali
