• Rude guide and not accommodating.

  The guide messaged us the night before the tour, to change our scheduled time from 10:15 to 8:15 AM, when we already had travel scheduled for the original time. When my travel could not accommodate us at the changed time, I let the guide know we would not be able to make it. So I asked him if we could please have refund since the time was not going to work. However, he would not give me my refund because it wasn’t “within 24 hours” yet he changed the time by 2 hours the night before, in less than 24 hours. A joke of a company and rude guide. Would not recommend.

  We could not have loved this tour more. Our guide rose was absolutely stellar. The pacing of the tour was great, her commentary was excellent, and we found it very reasonable for the price given all that we did. I highly recommend this tour and Rose specifically.

• Read this review to save money and before you book

  This trip company Viator uses is not reliable and is WAY OVERPRICED. They changed the time on us by a half hour earlier and we missed the message. No text message. No message in Viator. The text we got from Viator just told us specifically where at the meeting address to meet the tour. We were there 15 minutes early and missed it since we didn’t see that they had emailed us the night before. I’m on vacation so I’m not checking my emails. The phone number Viator provided for the local tour company did not work. Viator customer service was horrible and it took 25 minutes of going round and round to have a refund issued. We then figured out how to do this trip ourselves and it was HALF PRICE of what Viator charges. All you have to do is take the bus to the Kriens stop. With a smart phone it was easy enough to figure out. At the gondola station you can book exactly what this tour is selling for half the price: gondola up, 2+ hours at the top, cog train down, and boat ride back to Luzern. We even saw the tour guide for the tour we were supposed to do. They were not getting any special perks that doing yourself doesn’t get. Save yourself over $200 and just do it yourself and avoid this tour.

  Great highlights tour and very efficient. Especially Rose our tour guide who somehow kept the group together with multiple stops. Two disappointing things, the small group was 28 people and we expected 15, and the cogwheel train was closed due to snow still on the ground. Nothing the tour could do about it but good to check before you go.

• No guide contact, no help, no tour

  We went 15 minutes early to the address and location the email requested us to go to, for meeting the tour guide and group. No one but another couple showed. There was no one to call or text to get immediate help!! The number we found to text was the company who told us they could not get in touch with the tour guide. No phone number of the guide to find out where the tour group may be waiting. Since no help was provided, the other couple and us missed this tour. All other tours we participated in provided the name and a contact number of the guide. If this had been the case for this tour, the 2 couples would never had missed the tour.
