Seattle
Meet one of Washington’s biggest icons: Mount Rainier. Towering over the Pacific Northwest, this snow-capped giant (also known as Tacoma) is the highest peak in the Cascade Range and the tallest volcano in mainland America. Heavily glaciated and snow-covered year-round, Rainier feeds five major rivers and gives life to roaring waterfalls, alpine lakes, and lush forests. Summer (May–October): Seattle → Mount Rainier National Park → Longmire Museum → Christine Falls → Narada Falls → Paradise Visitor Center → Reflection Lakes → Seattle Winter (November–April): Seattle → Mount Rainier National Park → Longmire Museum → Wonderland Trail → Seattle
Mount Rainier National Park
Welcome to glacier country! Encircled by the legendary Wonderland Trail, Mount Rainier National Park is home to massive glaciers like Emmons and Carbon, the largest by volume in the contiguous U.S. With over 1.8 million visitors annually, this park blends epic scenery with rich geology where thousands attempt to summit Rainier every year approximately 50% making it to the summit. Also, Mt. Rainier in WA is the tallest volcano of Mainland America, the 5th tallest mountain in the entire US territory. The mountain top is covered by snow all year round. Had a great time with my son. Chris was great in explaining everything upfront and was well prepared with all the gear. Hoping to visit again in August as he recommended to visit that time for the best experience.

I couldn't have been happier with this tour of Mt. Rainier National Park. The tour was really well planned out, got to see several sites around the park and the weather was beautiful - well worth a full day (~11 hrs) roundtrip! The group was a mix of solo and groups with a total of 12 people and one tour guide. Chris (the tour guide) was AMAZING!!! He know all the right spots for photos and helped to keep everything moving with plenty of free time to do some light hiking.

This tour will definitely be remembered as one of the most fun winter activities of my life! I had such a joyful and unforgettable day, filled with wonderful memories from start to finish. Our guide, Chris, was especially amazing. He was incredibly kind, attentive, and always willing to help with anything that could enhance our experience. He paid close attention to every detail and made sure we were comfortable and fully enjoying each moment, which truly made the tour even more special. Thanks to this experience, I’m leaving Seattle with nothing but great memories, and I already hope to come back again in the summer. This day will stay with me as one of the best winter experiences of my life — absolutely no regrets at all!
