We chose this class as it seemed to offer more than just cookery.. with a visit to a large local market on route, Benyaran museum and ending at the lovely Samet Nangshe viewpoint. The lessons were straightforward, all the ingredients were ready weighed/sorted for you, all you had to do was follow the instructions to produce lovely Thai food. I would recommend this trip for those who want to see more of the authentic Thailand rather than just go to a cooking class. A special mention for our lovely guide Marsha and the way she made the day special for us with her professionalism, charm and the way she never stopped taking photos for us LOL... thank you :)

We thoroughly enjoyed the Nang Yam Thai Cooking School tour. It was a fantastic full day out with a variety of foodie experiences such as exploring a local market, sampling exotic fruits and traditional Thai delicacies, selecting fresh herbs from the school’s extensive garden, preparing and cooking a full menu of delicious Thai dishes and the best part sitting down to dine on our culinary creations. Throughout it all our guide, Marsha, was sharing her knowledge and expertise, guiding us carefully through each stage with confidence and patience so that we felt thoroughly equipped to handle each cooking challenge. But our tour was not just about food. We also spent a very interesting time at the Benyaran museum where we were again educated by Marsha as we walked down memory lane viewing the treasures of a bygone era. The day had a fitting ending as we took in the breathtaking views of Phang Nga Bay and reflected on the richness of our day.

We had an amazing day with the Nang Yam Thai Cooking Class program. Marsha our guide gave us a most wonderful day, taking us to a wet market in Phang Nga where we saw a variety of fresh vegetables and fruit. We also had the opportunity to eat some local cakes made with sticky rice. Then we visited Benyaran Museum. A surprising place with so many antiques and memorabilia from the past. Our next stop was the Nang Yam Thai Cooking school which is on the Benyaran farm which was a very peaceful setting. We were guided by our guide Marsha through the steps of cooking six delicious dishes. We started off with making spring rolls and papaya salad. We then sat down and ate our appetizers. Next was making Tom Yam Spicy-sour Soup which was very tasty. Then we proceeded to make green and red curry paste which was delicious with steam rice. Our final cooking program was banana in coconut milk and rice balls in coconut milk which was a great way to finish off the program. Our last stop for the day was visiting Sametnangshe boutique. We sat and took in the wonderful views. Definitely recommend that visitors to Phuket take this program to see more of the island of Phuket then their hotel. Marsha gave us an amazing experience we will never forget!😃
