Colossi of Memnon
The massive pair of statues known as the Colossi of Memnon are the first monuments you’ll see during our morning visit to Luxor. They represent King Amenhotep III himself, so it should be at least 34000 years old
Valley of the Kings
The royal graveyard of the kings of the new kingdom at the western bank of the Nile in Luxor town. Valley of the Kings, long narrow defile just west of the Nile River in Upper Egypt. It was part of the ancient city of Thebes and was the burial site of almost all the kings (pharaohs) of the 18th, 19th, and 20th dynasties (1539–1075 BCE), from Thutmose I to Ramses X. Located in the hills behind Dayr al-Baḥrī, the 62 known tombs exhibit variety both in plan and in decoration. In 1979 UNESCO designated the valley part of the World Heritage site of ancient Thebes, which also includes Luxor, the Valley of the Queens, and Karnak.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari
The mortuary temple of Hatshepsut is a mortuary temple built during the reign of Pharaoh Hatshepsut of the Eighteenth Dynasty of Egypt. Located opposite the city of Luxor, it is considered to be a masterpiece of ancient architecture. Its three massive terraces rise above the desert floor and into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. Her tomb, KV20, lies inside the same massif capped by El Qurn, a pyramid for her mortuary complex. At the edge of the desert, 1 km east, connected to the complex by a causeway lies the accompanying valley temple. Across the river Nile, the whole structure points towards the monumental Eighth Pylon, Hatshepsut's most recognizable addition to the Temple of Karnak and the site from which the procession of the Beautiful Festival of the Valley departed.

Temple of Horus
AM: Visit Edfu Temple the most well preserved Temple in Egypt dedicated to the Falcon God Horus. The Temple of Edfu is nearly intact and a good example of an ancient Egyptian temple. Its archaeological significance and high state of preservation have made it a center for tourism in Egypt and a frequent stop for the many riverboats that cruise the Nile. In 2005, access to the temple was revamped with the addition of a visitor center and paved parking lot. A lighting system was added in late 2006 to allow nighttime visits.
Temple of Kom Ombo
PM: Visit the temple of Kom Ombo. A duplicated temple built for two gods, Sobek, the crocodile god, and Horus, the falcon, the lord of protection. The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. It was constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC. Some additions to it were later made during the Roman period.

Aswan High Dam
The Aswan Dam, or more specifically since the 1980s, the Aswan High Dam, is one of the world's largest embankment dams, which was built across the Nile in Aswan, Egypt, between 1960 and 1970. When it was completed, it was the tallest earthen dam in the world, eclipsing the United States ' Chatuge Dam.
Temple of Philae
The Philae temple complex is an island-based temple complex in the reservoir of the Aswan Low Dam, downstream of the Aswan Dam and Lake Nasser, Egypt. Until the International Campaign to Save the Monuments of Nubia, the temple complex was located on Philae Island, near the expansive First Cataract of the Nile in Upper Egypt. These rapids and the surrounding area have been variously flooded since the initial construction of the Aswan Low Dam in 1902. The temple complex was dismantled and moved to nearby Agilkia Island as part of the UNESCO Nubia Campaign project, protecting this and other complexes before the 1970 completion of the Aswan High Dam. The hieroglyphic reliefs of the temple complex are being studied and published by the Philae Temple Text Project of the Austrian Academy of Sciences, Vienna.

I traveled solo with Egypt Cruise Era.My experience was empowering and deeply personal. The admission fee is a fair investment in yourself. The five-day length allows for real reflection. The atmosphere on board was friendly and inclusive. Crowd size in Aswan felt lighter than in Luxor, which I preferred. The staff were kind and always checked in on me. This is best for solo travelers who enjoy structured days with free time. A short story from my trip. In Kom Ombo, I lingered behind the group near the crocodile museum. An elderly local vendor, not pushing a sale, simply pointed to a carving of Sobek and said "Very strong god for protection." It was a brief, genuine human moment that made the history feel alive. The Egypt Cruise Era guide later explained more about the deity.

We took our family on this Egypt Cruise Era adventure. Our experience was educational and fun for all ages. The admission fee for a family package was reasonable. The five-day length kept the kids engaged but not tired. The atmosphere was vibrant and family-friendly on the ship. Crowd size at Abu Simbel was large, but our guide kept us together. The staff were amazing with our children, even making them special drinks. This is best for families with curious kids. One afternoon, my son pretended to decode hieroglyphs in his notebook on the cruise ship's deck. Later at the Temple of Horus in Edfu, he excitedly pointed out a similar cartouche he had seen. That connection he made himself was worth the entire trip. The balloon ride was the ultimate thrill for them.

We went as a couple with Egypt Cruise Era.Our experience was romantic and deeply immersive. We felt the admission fee covered an incredible amount of value. The five-day length was ideal for a getaway. The atmosphere was pure magic, especially on the sundeck at sunset. Crowd size was never an issue as our guide knew all the right times. The staff went above and beyond to make our anniversary special. This is best for couples seeking adventure and culture. I will never forget when we got lost for a moment in the Edfu Temple complex. It was just us under these massive columns covered in hieroglyphs, and the silence was profound. Our guide found us with a smile, but that private discovery felt like our own secret. The ship's dining was fantastic with candlelit tables.

I booked this 5-day journey with Egypt Cruise Era for a work retreat. My experience was overwhelmingly positive, balancing education with relaxation. The admission fee felt justified considering the all-inclusive nature of the visits. The length of visit across five days was perfect to absorb everything without rush. The atmosphere on the ship was one of quiet luxury, very conducive to our business discussions. Crowd size at the temples was manageable, especially with our guide's early timing. The staff on the cruise were exceptionally professional and discreet. This trip is best for professional groups looking for a unique bonding experience. The highlight was the hot air balloon ride over Luxor at dawn. Seeing the vast necropolis from the silent sky with my colleagues was a moment of shared awe we kept referencing all week. The ship itself was a floating hotel with stunning Nile views from every cabin. Egypt Cruise Era handled all the logistics seamlessly.

I will book my next Egypt trip with Egypt Cruise Era.This experience has made me a loyal customer. The admission fee guarantees a certain standard I now trust. The length of future trips can vary based on their advice. The atmosphere they create is exactly what I want. Crowd size is handled well by their system. The staff feel like familiar professionals now. This is best for returning visitors to Egypt. As a final short story, on the last night, the cruise manager asked for feedback. I gave it, and he genuinely listened, noting points for improvement. That commitment to getting better is why I'll be back. A fantastic company.

We compared notes with other travelers not using Egypt Cruise Era.Our experience was superior. The admission fee was competitive but our value was higher. The length was similar but our content was richer. Our atmosphere seemed more organized. Their crowd size management seemed poorer. Our staff were clearly better trained. This is best for those comparing options. At the balloon launch, another company's group was disorganized and late. We were already in the air with Egypt Cruise Era. At temples, we had quiet headsets while others strained to hear. These small differences added up to a much better trip.

I traveled with my father with Egypt Cruise Era.The experience was a bonding journey. The admission fee for two was straightforward. The length of the trip was perfect for quality time. The atmosphere sparked great conversations. Crowd size allowed us to talk while walking. The staff treated my father with great respect. This is best for adult child-parent trips. My dad has always dreamed of seeing Abu Simbel. Watching his face as we turned the corner and saw the facade was a moment I will cherish forever. We didn't need to talk. Egypt Cruise Era made his lifelong dream come true simply and smoothly.

We,as colleagues, found the Egypt Cruise Era trip very informative for team building. The experience involved solving historical mysteries together. The admission fee includes these guided team activities. The visit to the Luxor Museum involved a fun group quiz. The atmosphere was collaborative and intellectual. Our team was the crowd. The guide acted as a great facilitator. Best for collaborative team building. I traveled with colleagues.

Our friends'adventure with Egypt Cruise Era was epic. The experience felt like a real discovery. Finding a secluded spot on the ship's deck at night was a cool adventure. The admission fee gives you access to the whole ship. The length of the trip allowed for these personal discoveries. The atmosphere was exploratory and free. The crowd was also making their own fun. The night crew were friendly. Best for groups making their own fun. I traveled with friends.

My adventure with Egypt Cruise Era was thrilling. The experience peaked with the Abu Simbel interior exploration. The fee to enter there is included. The visit inside the great temple takes about an hour but is unforgettable. The atmosphere inside is majestic and humbling. The crowd flows through respectfully. The guide explained the relocation miracle. Best for those seeking awe-inspiring moments. I traveled with friends.
