Although a relatively new city, Dubai enjoys a rich
heritage with a history that goes as far back as the
Bronze Age. Take this journey with us back in time
and explore the roots of this country.
Visiting Bastakiya and its narrow lanes is an
experience you will never forget. A
ride on a lovely little abra will transport you to the
busy market area with the famous Gold and Spice
Souks. From here, you will move on to see Jumeirah
Mosque, to admire the 8th-century Islamic
architecture.

You could honestly do better by taking a cab and going to these places yourself. For Jumeirah beach and mosque, they only let you off on the side of the road for 10 mins to take pictures. My favorite was when they took us to an art gallery where they herded us into a closed room and shamelessly gave a sales pitch for carpets. The rest of this art gallery was also just a store where people aggressively tried to sell you things that are available anywhere else in Dubai for cheaper. What a waste of time!

Fun tour to see Old Dubai. You don’t have enough time to truly bargain and purchase anything. Also, the communication related to the transportation was poor. We had to actually call to confirm pickup time and location. Once picked up, we waited 40 minutes in the car for the next patron.
