During any Presidential Events, Qasr Al Watan might shut down to the public without any previous announcements as it is a national palace
Guided tours are not allowed within the palace; your guide will narrate important information about the palace before the visit

5.00Our experience was amazing. Mohammed IQBAL gave us the best tour we could ever thought we would have. I highly recommend asking for him. He did an amazing job from the start of our trip leaving from Dubai all the way through Abu Dhabi and back the time he spent with us and the ability to explain all the different buildings and culture was amazing. We can’t thank him enough for the opportunity that will remember for a lifetime. This is a great tour again. My wife and I highly recommend it.

5.00Aya was a fantastic tour guide. She was fun (and funny!), helpful, and very informative about each site. The sites we visited were all wonderful. The bus was comfortable and the size of the group (17) was easy to manage. Aya did an especially great job managing our tour amidst the bustle of a Friday afternoon at the Great Mosque during Ramadan.

3.00What should have been a compact, small group tour of the 3 major sites in Abu Dhabi devolved into a very large consolidated group tour that was a disorganized endurance test. Our very nice tour guide on Wednesday, February 18, was accustomed (by his own admission) to doing private tours and was filling in for other guides. He was clearly (again, by his own admission) overburdened and overwhelmed. After taking over and hour to wait for and finally board various groups of people, we set off for Abu Dhabi. Due to lack of experience, I assume, our guide rearranged our stops to avoid long waits. Instead, we managed to hit the tower, the palace and finally the mosque at exactly the wrong times. We waited 2 hours in the hot sun to enter the Presidential Palace — the most underwhelming of the three sites — leaving us far less time to see the wonderful mosque (the reason most of us were visiting Abu Dhabi). In addition, our guide would disappear for long periods of time after giving us very vague instructions for meeting place and time, leaving us to fend for ourselves. Then, on our 3+ hour delayed return to Dubai, our bus driver suddenly pulled off the highway to meet up with a fellow driver who was parked on the side of the road. After a mysterious half-hour delay, they switched buses and we continued on our way at last. I arrived back at my hotel after 9 pm, having missed a pre-paid dinner and with a 5 am airport pickup ahead of me. So what should have been an enjoyable small group excursion to Abu Dhabi’s famous sites turned into a stressful series of delays and missteps. What a shame.
