Angkor Wat

Please pack your breakfast from the hotel. At 5 am, transporting you to the temple complex by a car with A/C/ van for a large group and then, visit the spectacular Angkor Wat. During this time of the day the crowds are at a minimum letting you view this amazing structure at its most serene. Then head north to see Basei ChamKrong built in 947 AD by Harshavarman I dedicated to Siva (Hindu) as a pyramid temple, which it has a similar plan to a Pyramid in the ancient Maya city of Tikal in around 741 AD in Central America. Then move to smiling-face Bayon temple standing right in the middle of Angkor Thom, the ancient city with a population of about 300,000 people in thirteenth century. Later on, visit the dead gate of Angkor Thom where they made tomb raider movie in 2001. Have lunch locally. After lunch break, visit jungle-clad temple of Ta Prohm. You’ll see how the tentacle-like tree roots are slowly strangling the surviving stones. It’s an evocative sight. Heading back to the hotel.

This is the second time we visit Angkor Wat with Mr Bunleat as our guide, and he definitely delivered! He picked up our group early enough to pick a great spot to watch the sun rise over Angkor Wat. He then spent the day showing us around various temples, all the while weaving in the important historical, cultural, and religious influence that shaped the area over the centuries. The spot he picked for lunch was excellent and served delicious Khmer dishes. Definitely recommend!

Day tour with sunrise at Angkor Wat and then on to Bayon, South gate of Angkor Thom and Baphoun before ending with Ta Prohm. Amazing experience. Our experienced and knowledgable guide Mr. Bunleat made sure that we got a good understanding of the history of the sites, their special features as well as the hard work that has gone into their restoration. You get an understanding of the signficance of these sites and their splendor. Very well organized and comfortable with AC vehicle to move between the sites and water bottles provided at regular intervalls. All at a reasonable price. Highly recommend this company.

This tour exceeded expectations in all respects. The guide and driver were stupendous because they were knowledgeable, fun, and very attentive to us. The guide was full of fascinating stories about the temples. Our guide was a great photographer too! Word of advice: Tuk tuk is the best way to explore the temples. It’s slow enough to enjoy the surroundings, yet fast enough to cover lots of ground.

Sothan was a wonderful guide; very knowledgeable, well-spoken English and a very nice person that cares about his country and its heritage. What I also liked is his pace of explaining and the amount of information that he gave: I wasn’t flooded with information and he gave me some time to let thoughts sink in which made it a very comfortable experience.

  • Great tour of angkor wat and other temples

Bunleat was a great guide - provided so many interesting facts about angkor wat and the surrounding temples. He also took great pictures of us! The provided van was comfortable, and the water was definitely needed in the heat! He was also considerate of our needs (traveling with older people and young kids) and flexible with the itinerary while providing structure to our day. All in all, a great trip.
