In August we bought tickets for a "whale watching" tour from Seattle. We didn't see a single whale that day. A voucher was then given, which we could use back within a year. However, we are tourists from Belgium and left for home the day after. When we were back in Belgium we immediately contacted to ask if we could get a part of the money back. There was then a positive response. I had to fill out forms and provide proof of payment, return flight. Also this immediately put in order. Meanwhile, several times contacted by mail that the refund is still not in order. My e-mails are no longer answered either. Very unfortunate to have to experience this as a foreign tourist. So after five months we are still waiting.

We had a wonderful relaxing couples get-away. The staff were friendly, helpful, and you could tell they enjoyed their jobs. We got to see three groups of whales in the 5 hours we were on the water. It was so beautiful and peaceful.

Very nice boat. We saw a pod of 9-10 Orcas (2 families). Naturalist knew all about each whale and provided detailed info about all of the adults. Downside was about 90 minutes each way to see the whales. Very little narrative about the communities we passed by, history of the area, etc. which we would have appreciated because it was our first visit to the Northwest. The narrative would made this a 5-star trip.

After booking through a 3rd party, we were told my husband would be seated not anywhere near us, due to mobility issues this was a problem! We also were expecting to see orcas but we didnt see any, and we only saw humpback whales/ seals and sea lions (there site only states to see whales) i also asked the guide when we left the boat who stated that the orcas were so limited that no one goes near them!!

The trip was wonderful. We saw a humpback whale for about 30 minutes. The weather was iffy so we headed back in after that, but we left satified.

The boat and seating were good, as well as the staff. Very accommodating. While we did see whales and some sea lions, no orcas unfortunately.

You may not see much of the whales. The weather was nice. The premium window seats are not a priority as most of my viewing was from the observation area on the bow.
