Meet your instructor at a cookery school in central Paris (59 Rue du Cardinal Lemoine) to begin your class. If you've opted for the 6-hour class, start with a croissant and a cup of coffee or tea before heading to an open-air food market near Paris' Latin Quarter, where you'll pick up the ingredients for your meal and taste some cheese with your instructor. If you've selected the 4.5-hour class, make your way to the cookery school after your instructor has returned from the market. Begin by planning your 3-course lunch menu, which includes an appetizer, main, and dessert course. Then, get started under the watchful eye of your instructor. As you prepare your meal, pick up tips and gain insight into traditional French cooking techniques. After two hours in the kitchen (and a glass of wine or two), head through to the dining table with your fellow cooks. Sit down to the delicious meal you’ve prepared and enjoy half a bottle of white or red wine. You'll also learn the fine art of pairing food with wine. Before leaving, you'll receive electronic copies of your recipes so you can recreate the dishes at home.

This was a fantastic experience! We had a wonderful time at this cooking class. Only problem was that we cooked a lot of food. Definitely need pants that are stretchy!

This was excellent! Luc and Fred both went above and beyond to make sure we had an amazing experience, and Luc went more than out of his way to help with a small medical issue one of our group was having. And of course the food, the recipes, and the hands on learning was above all my expectations! I have already personally recommended this to other people and will go back again next time I’m in Paris! Thank you Luc! It was so very memorable !

I have gone to several cooking classes in NYC. Cooking with Pablo at Le Foodist surpassed them all. Beyond coaching us to prepare a delicious French meal, he improved my technique (knife work, cracking an egg, how to sauté) and asked great questions to help us all understand methods better. Pablo was professional, friendly, and free of the rehearsed schtick which guides sometimes have. I could picture him in a professional kitchen. The class also attracted a lively, interesting group of people, making it a great investment for an evening in Paris where time is so precious. My only regret is that we did not participate in the market visit, but those who did found it informative as well as interesting.

My husband and I have been to Paris several times and were looking for a fun activity. This was a great option. We visited the market, learning how to shop in Paris (respecting the customs), trying samples of cheese and speaking with some of the vendors. We then returned to the Foodist space/kitchen and made lunch with the fresh ingredients. There was a nice mix of listening and doing prior to enjoying lunch. This is the second class i have taken and can't wait to return.

Great class with Paulo; sorry we missed the shopping/market trip. Learned a lot from him and enjoyed the other families in our class. Highly recommend a class here; perhaps next time dessert!

My family and I had a wonderful experience here with Fred. We learned a lot from the market visit plus a visit to a cheese shop where we learned all about cheese! Fred was a great instructor and made sure everyone participated thoroughly in all parts of the cooking process. The final meal was delicious!

I really enjoyed my cooking class with Luc. I learned many technical tips that will stay with me for life (how to flatten a chicken breast with a knife, how to slice and arrange potatoes for a gratin). We prepared and cooked food with ingredients you would find in any local grocery store or market. He guided us through the preparation of a beautiful lunch with skill, patience and humour. I enjoyed the stories of his culinary adventures through life as a French chef. It was a wonderful way to spend my last day in Paris. Thank you Luc and Le Foodist. Je reviendrai!

It’s a full experience with a market place experience and a super chef, Luc. He was highly trained in culinary expertise and very patient with all of us (10 in class) as we gleaned from his wisdom. I felt like he wasn’t just our teacher but blended with us as a friend who truly cared about us and our experience. It was pure joy and a delightful day with an an amazing lunch and wine to share.

Bon Jour, Chef Frederick, I attended Chef Frederick's luncheon cooking class today with my dear friend. I cannot begin to tell everyone how fantastic the class was. Chef Frederick is a very congenial teacher and makes the experience wonderful for everyone in the class. He is very thorough in his explanations and we learned so much down to the finest detail. We did the cooking class and prepared a full meal that was absolutely divine. Time flew by so quickly and I loved every minute of this class. I have been to Paris many times and this is by far my favorite experience. Thank you so much Chef Frederick for sharing your love of cooking and superb food with our class. I highly recommend this experience whether you are a novice or experienced cook. Book ahead and enjoy!
