Meet your instructor at a cookery school in central Paris (59 Rue du Cardinal Lemoine) to begin your class. If you've opted for the 6-hour class, start with a croissant and a cup of coffee or tea before heading to an open-air food market near Paris' Latin Quarter, where you'll pick up the ingredients for your meal and taste some cheese with your instructor. If you've selected the 4.5-hour class, make your way to the cookery school after your instructor has returned from the market. Begin by planning your 3-course lunch menu, which includes an appetizer, main, and dessert course. Then, get started under the watchful eye of your instructor. As you prepare your meal, pick up tips and gain insight into traditional French cooking techniques. After two hours in the kitchen (and a glass of wine or two), head through to the dining table with your fellow cooks. Sit down to the delicious meal you’ve prepared and enjoy half a bottle of white or red wine. You'll also learn the fine art of pairing food with wine. Before leaving, you'll receive electronic copies of your recipes so you can recreate the dishes at home.

Fun and informative class! The trip to the market was educational with a good explanation of the neighborhood as well as the market. Great cooking techniques and discussion of cooking in general. A class of four let us have great conversation over cooking, eating, and of course, wine! Frédéric was Great!

My wife Laurie and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves, the other patrons, and Chef Luc. As we shopped in a local outdoor market, Chef shared history of agriculture in the Paris area and how and why he chose the ingredients that he did. We learned new methods and recipies during the class and will definitely remember the camaraderie amongst patrons, that was adeptly fostered by Chef Luc. Overall, the experience was informative, enjoyable, and very tasty. We highly recommend, and had we more time, we'd take another class.

We could not have had a more enjoyable time in this cooking class! Frederic was fantastic, very patient, knowledgeable and very humorous! We loved every minute! We learned the most scrumptious recipes for salmon, glazed Parisian apple vegetables and scalloped potatoes! We also made homemade ice cream with chocolate sauce. My husband and I will definitely take another class here next time we are in Paris. Do not miss out on coming to Le Foodist!

I’ve done a few cooking classes but this one-day course with Le Foodist would be the best. From the moment we walked in, Frédéric’s energy was infectious. Whether he was explaining the science behind the dishes, or dropping witty one-liners in his lovely French accent, the entire day was unique. He has a gift for making even the most technical aspects of classic French cuisine feel approachable and do-able. And the result was delicious. We made a seasonal three-course meal and every dish was restaurant-quality. Eating what we’d created at the long communal table with a glass (or two) of wine was the perfect ending to the day. If you want a cooking experience that’s educational, entertaining, and indulgent, then I highly recommend this class. Frédéric is knowledgeable, warm, funny, and obviously loves what he does. In the days following the class I had a couple of questions which I emailed to the team. These were responded to immediately and in depth, which was much appreciated. Merci, Frédéric – you, and the rest of the team, made the whole experience unforgettable!

Everything was fabulous and fun; from the market visit to buy the food to the final product…the amazing meal. Paulo was very knowledgeable, patient, and a wonderful teacher. I can’t wait to try out the recipes at home.

The market visit with Chef Fredrick was so much fun and interesting! We all took part in the preparing of the meal, had good conversations around drinking wine! The marketplace was amazing.
