Emilia-Romagna is Italy’s Food Valley, known for its diverse gastronomy and unique products like Parmigiano Reggiano, charcuterie, and Aceto Balsamico. This region boasts over 40 traditional certified foods and follows a farm-to-table philosophy. On this tour, you’ll meet local producers, hear their stories, and sample world-renowned food products.

Our first stop will be at the Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm, where we will witness the production process and have a guided tasting of the famous cheese.

Our next stop is “Salumificio Conti” in Langhirano Valley. We’ll see how Prosciutto di Parma is made and learn about the entire process from raw meat to the final aging room. The process is carried out with dedication, skill, and farm-to-table ingredients.

You can also extend your food experience in Parma learn more about the local history and have lunch at a local restaurant.

What To Expect

Societa Agricola Saliceto - Caseificio

Our first stop will be at the Parmigiano Reggiano dairy farm, where we will witness the production process and have a guided tasting of the famous cheese. The drive from the Parma station to the Saliceto dairy farm will take approx. 30 minutes and visiting the Prosciutto di Parma will take approximately 1,5 hours, including the tasting.

Salumificio Conti

In the Langhirano Valley, you can explore the process of making Prosciutto di Parma. The meat is slowly cured with the help of Marino's wind, which blows in from the Ligurian Sea. The production of this delicious delicacy is a combination of passion, talent, and farm-to-fork ingredients. The journey from the dairy farm to the Salumificio Conti will take approximately 20 minutes. The visit to the Prosciutto di Parma production site, including the tasting, will take around 1.5 hours. If you don't wish to extend your tour for the afternoon, we will return to Parma, and the drive back will take around 45 minutes.
