We had an AMAZING food tour in Phoenix. Christopher has the right mix of history and food. We enjoyed tacos, burgers, fries, pizza, dumplings, and cookie pie with gelato. Everything was really tasting and the proportions were just right. Everyone in the group left feeling full but not stuffed. We really enjoyed our experience and would highly recommend this food tour.

Christopher was awesome, confident and very knowledgeable about the local culture, the background on the establishments we visited and in making recommendations for drinks. He was also very considerate about people’s needs (hydration, bathroom, etc). I learned a lot about Roosevelt Row and a bit about Phoenix history. All the places we visited had excellent food. I came away not really feeling like we tasted anything unique, as the food we sampled was typical stuff you’d find in any city (taco, burger, fries, dumpling, pizza, cheesecake)…but they were the tastiest of the typical. Each dish was carefully prepared and served to us to highlight something about that establishment. Yes, it’s just a taco but it’s a Sonoran taco with the tastiest ingredients. Yes, it’s just a burger but it’s Wagyu and everything is sourced locally and pairs well with locally brewed beer. Fries? Yup just fries but these were fried in duck fat and comes with a home made sauce and home made catchup that was really something special. And that pink rice with the dumplings? Something else. Neapolitan pizza? Wait until you hear the history and background story. So if you’re looking for some unique cuisine or entree, this tour may not be what you’re looking for. But if you’re looking for good, unique flavors, this tour fits the bill!
