Bardstown is known for their BOURBON.—but we want to offer experiences that differ slightly and will be fun for the entire group. We take a slight jaunt off the Bourbon Trail and offer an opportunity to craft your own handmade candle as well as enjoy Kentucky Made Wines and Beers.

During your experience, you will be given a large variety of scents to choose from to blend into YOUR perfect scented candle. In addition, our large variety of candle vessels offer just the right finishing personalization for your aesthetics. As we embark on the candle making journey you will receive full education on how to label, wick, blend, make and pour your candle. Along the way we offer a variety of candle burning and safety tips that will make all future candle burning even more enjoyable. This will be the activity that everyone will be talking about when they go home.

What To Expect

You are the master of your own candle scent at our Pour Your Own Candle Bar Experience. We allow you to choose just the right Scent or Scentz that you blend to create the fragrance that fits your style. We know that every nose is different so we give you the opportunity to create exactly what you love... But in an experience setting. You choose from over 35 scentz and the blending begins. We offer the full experience of making your candles as well. Many candle bars don't allow you to make the whole candle, but we are different. You not only get to wick your jar and blend your scents, but we also allow you to mix your wax and oils, pour your candle and set the wick. The full experience also includes full education and burning tips and tricks. The full behind the scenes on candle making. We also offer wines/spirits/beers that have a local aspect. Wine Flights are also offered. IMPORTANT: Candles will take 1/2 hour to an hour to make and will have to set for 1.5 hours to cool and set. If you book candle bar after 4pm reservation time (5:30pm on Thursdays) it can be picked up the next day or we can ship it for $5 fee.

Pouring your very own candle is a very fun experience. Especially with how much we learned about candles and how great of a conversationalist our teacher was. Highly recommend for small groups or date night.

This was something fun and different to do and very informative. The owner was very engaging and fun to talk to. Not the usual tourist thing to do but I would do it again.
Fun to try once, but experience was very short overall, we were done within 15 min. Staff very friendly.

We were late for our appt because I did not think about where KY changed from Central to EDT. He waited for us..said it happens sometimes he was very informative, and it was a fun experience. Bonus..Ate at Pat's Place next door..very good.
