In general, the tour is good, in particular the lunch in a local restaurant and the river boat ride. However, it will be nicer if pickup is provided at the last visit site back to the hotel.

This was my first visit to Prague, and I was looking forward to an orientation of this world-class city. Mission accomplished! Barbara, our local guide, was terrific, very knowledgeable and interesting. Of course the sites were amazing, and it was a very good introduction to lovely Prague, launching me into my own exploration for the next 2 days. Fortunately and Unfortunately - fortunately, President Zelensky was in town to meet with President Pavel, and unfortunately, because the castle closed early because they were meeting in Pavel’s office within the castle, we missed some treasures; fortunately, the Prague International Marathon took place that day, and unfortunately, the Old Town Square was crowded with marathon activity, and it was difficult to appreciate the loveliness of the square.

Unique Perspective and Great Overview, but Room for More Detail

We recently did a six-hour walking tour with a one-hour boat ride and overall had a good experience. Our guide, Lance, was definitely unique – he brought a different perspective to the city’s history compared to other tours we’ve done. He was very knowledgeable and engaging. The tour gave a great high-level overview of Prague, though in some parts we would have appreciated a bit more historical depth, especially when discussing certain buildings. At times, the commentary focused more on what to expect if we returned on our own rather than diving into the site’s history in the moment. The boat ride was just okay – it was a nice break from walking, but the narration was a bit hard to follow, and it wasn’t always clear which buildings were being referenced. All in all, a good way to get acquainted with the city, especially if you’re looking for a broad introduction with a unique twist!
