We are the longest running and most highly rated, supplier of E Bike Hire/Self-guided E-Bike tours in the Byron & Tweed hinterland. Voted the 13th best E Bike tour in the world by Tripadvisor in 2021.

We only use high quality German made FOCUS & KALKHOFF e-bikes, with the latest BOSCH motors and large batteries specially set up for use on the Rail Trail with gel seats and, most importantly, puncture proof tyres.

We set you up with all the right gear, a great E Bike (with lights for the tunnel), GIRO helmet, lock, backpack or pannier and off you go and don't worry we are only a phone call away if you need any help or assistance. We have fully equipped support van and trailer.

The experience is Self-Guided so you can go at your own pace, stop where you want, just make it back by 4 pm! 2 hours of E Biking and 2-3 hrs of eating drinking and exploring, heaven.

Be warned, once you try one of our e bikes, you will want to buy one!!

What To Expect

You will ride the Northern Rivers Rail Trail on one of our fantastic German made E Bikes. The Northern Rivers Rail Trail is a purpose built bike trail following an old railway line through some of the most varied and beautiful country side in the region. Along the way you will navigate two old railway tunnels (one 524m long with glowworms and microbats), traverse historic railway bridges, explore cute hinterland villages and have the opportunity to visit art galleries, cute cafes and antique shops. Stop for lunch and meet the Alpacas at Hosanna Farmstay or soak up the views at Apex dining (at the Margaret Olley Art Gallery). The surface is excellent, a mixture of tarmac and compacted gravel, with only gentle hills and easy riding (especially on an E Bike) with no cars so great for all the family. We have baby seats, toddler trailers, tag-a-longs, family cargo bikes and even dog trailers... We provide all you need except a sense of adventure!

Thanks to Don & Olivier from Beyond Byron e-bike tours who set us up to have a terrific experience! We live in the Northern Rivers & are regular cyclists but this was a first for us on an e-bike (and first time on the NRRT) so it was a great opportunity to test them out. Beaut sunny day, quite windy, but being on an e-bike made it a breeze (pardon the pun!) This bike tour kicks off from Mooball, which suited us better than starting at Murwillumbah, having come up from West Ballina. Nice coffee at Stokers Siding General Store, stopped at a cute little roadside fruit & veg stall that operates with an honesty box & has great produce, then lunch at Station 22 just off the trail at Burringbar, shoutout to Gabriella for a nice feed and gorgeous spot to sit and take in the scenery. Great , friendly service. Good quality bikes and good communication about meet up place. Good tip from the team was to have lunch at Hosanna's farm stay, which we thoroughly enjoyed.
