Gardens were so beautiful and our guide, Troy, was so knowledgeable funny and helpful. It was a delight to be with him. Learned a lot about the garden the owners and area. The walk had lots of different terrain, some steps and hills. Our walking sticks were helpful since we're not "young chickens". Enjoyed both fruit and chocolate tastings. Although it was predicting rain, we had none.

Beautifully landscaped but is NOT wheelchair friendly. That being said, the paths are well maintained. There are many terraces, elevation changes, and garden can be muddy in places when raining. The garden is located on the northern region of Kauai where rainfall is plentiful. Be prepared with raingear and good walking or hiking shoes. The chocolate tasting was intriguing and delicious comparing chocolate from around the world. A short explanation of the farmer's part of the chocolate making process from the planting of the cacao trees, the harvesting of the seed pods, the processing of the seeds before sending the nibs to the chocolatier who produces the finished product was given. The tour was a relaxing and informative way to spend a leisurely 3 hours in a peaceful and beautiful setting. If you enjoy learning about plants from around the world you'll love this tour.

Beautiful grounds and very knowledgeable guides. The chocolate tasting was delicious and fascinating. Learned so much about different kinds of chocolate, where they come from, how they are harvested and how they’re made into bars. Highly recommend. A perfect rainy day activity.
