Zoe gave us an exceedingly informative tour of these beautiful gardens. We asked lots of questions and she gave us interesting details about the plants/trees, the Hawaiian culture and botany of Kauai!! Of course the chocolate was a highlight and we will have a new outlook on our next bite of chocolate!! Thank you…we would take this tour again!

Don’t be fooled by the registration area and parking. It is not glamorous or super professional, but once you get going on the tour, the grounds are stunningly beautiful with lots and lots of diverse flowers, plants and fruits. Our guide, Rob, was super knowledgeable and friendly. The chocolate tasting itself was just OK, but we enjoyed tasting the chocolate made at their gardens because the flavor was so unique and, similar to wine, it reflected a lot of the other plant and soil make up in the area. We enjoyed it.

We truly enjoyed this tour. The group size was small enough to allow for questions and meaningful conversation, and Troy, our host and facilitator, was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the plants. He thoughtfully shared the history of this diverse and evolving garden, which added depth to the experience. We especially enjoyed tasting the fruits and learning about the history of chocolate, along with the tasting itself. The garden features beautiful bridges and a waterfall, and hearing about its origins and how it continues to grow made the visit even more engaging. It was inspiring to learn how the garden began as a series of projects and has become something so special.

WoW, talk about that warm feeling. When you enter the gardens, everyone is very welcoming and kind. The gardens were beautiful! Troy from Illinois is a special person - he is extremely knowledgeable and an incredible storyteller, he even kept our teenagers engaged! We loved the tastings that broke up the slow exploring. It's a little slippery so I would wear closed toed shoes but you can also get by without them IMO. The tour was a touch long for our group but it was still super enjoyable.

Amazing tour. They had walking sticks, umbrellas and insect repellent available for you to use. Such a unique experience to try some fruits and spices right off the trees
