Our hotel recommended Localist, we were after something off-the-path and it was certainly a gem among the different tour providers. The small group size allowed for a unique personalized fruit tasting experience. Special mention must be made to the guide, who possesses intimate knowledge of Cartagena and enjoyed discussing everything from music, history and of course food. This tour is among the best ones I have taken in many years of traveling

What a treat! First, a walking tour through the colorful, narrow streets of Getsemani. Carlos explained the history and culture of the area, stopping to share stories about the many beautiful murals. Then to a gorgeous courtyard where he prepared a table filled with fruits for us to try. Most we had never seen before, or even heard of. One tasted like custard, another reminded me of lychee, all were delicious with more flavors (and ways to open them) than I can describe. Carlos himself is quite interesting. He has traveled throughout the world and speaks English fluently. He is extremely knowledgeable about Columbian history and culture and is passionate about making our experience meaningful, and fun! If possible, I recommend doing the Fruit Tasting Experience at the beginning of your trip, but no matter where it can be in your itinerary – it is not to be missed. The entire experience was first class and added so much to our time in Columbia. Highly recommended!

Pretty cool! Nice guy too! I have had no idea what to expect but it was refreshing differently and for anyone which likes food and not to walk this is the perfect tour to book 😉
