This Half day is dedicated to flowers, one of the island treasures. We partnered with Palheiro gardens to you this beautiful quiet sight in the east of Funchal. Our Island offers a vast repertoire of gardens that's why one of Madeira nicknames was the Garden of the Atlantic. During this tour, we will take you to the Palheiro Garden a beautiful private garden that was owned by the Blandy family.
After our beautiful walk-in Palheiro Gardens we head to the Palheiro Golf amazing viewpoint to enjoy the fabulous panoramic view over the city of Funchal.
We also visit another viewpoint, São João Latrão.

Palheiro Gardens
Halfday dedicated to flowers, one of the island treasures. The region offers a vast repertoire of gardens. During this tour we will take you to the Palheiro Garden and the Hortensia Garden, at the Hortensia Gardens you can drink various teas, enjoy the delicious and famous apple pie and enjoy the fabulous panoramic view over the city of Funchal. We also visit two emblematic viewpoints, São João Latrão and Terreiro da Luta.

5.00It was an exquisite pleasure to have this excursion. We came to the garden early, as they just opened it, and were practically the only people there for two hours. It was so cool, and beautiful, and peaceful, and you can take as many photos as you like. Definitely for garden lovers and people who appreciate peace and quiet. The guide, Sergio, was courteous and attentive, and went out of his way to make it a fantastic experience. Just one ward of caution: the Viator site tells you you will see two gardens, but the second one is closed for good. The driver took me to some other places of interest instead, but the Viator should update their website.

5.00Richard provided a knowledgeable tour including a great visit to Palheiro gardens. The start was a little delayed and vehicle swapped. For the tea shop we feel that the Jasmine Tea house might have been better.
Wonderful tour...last minute port stop. Very happy!

5.00Richard took the four of us to the Palheiro Garden. Most travelers will visit the public botanical garden at the end of the Monte second cable car. Palheiro is further, on top of the mountain, and much nicer and better kept. Almost unknown, we had the place for ourselves. Impressive old trees, a beautiful collection of flowers and most of all dozens of different Camelia’s... We visited in December and still many flowers were in bloom. In spring this must be paradise. Afterwards Richard took us to a theahouse at the to of the mountain with delicious homemade apple pie and an unforgettable view over Funchal.

5.00My teenage daughter and myself were amazed by the paradise-like gardens and sensitivity of our guide to our needs and different atmospheres of tea-houses. Highly recommend to people who like gardens, taking pictures of flowers in your own pace.
