    Such a lovely hike up Mount Batur for sunrise with beautiful views. Our guide Ricky was really great pointing things out along the way to tell us about the other mountain peaks / volcanoes and history of eruptions. He was always making sure we felt good on our hike and had everything we needed and took great photos for us. The breakfast at the top was simple but so tasty and nice hot drinks for sale. We would highly recommend him and the experience. What we would mention for those that do this - don’t be surprised that on the route are jeeps and motorbikes taking other people up - so the route is not so peaceful / out in nature feel as you would expect. But they can’t go all the way up so the last bit is nice & quiet and the feeling on the top is lovely and the views are amazing.

    Great tour! We were collected from our hotel by our driver. At base camp we were given water and flashlights. We had a private tour guide for myself and partner, Dyangu was so lovely (even though we booked a group tour). At the top he made us a breakfast to watch the sunrise - sandwiches, fruit and biscuits. He showed us around the different areas of the volcanic ash and took lots of photos for us so that we have lots of memories to keep. The wall itself was quite tough but you could take as many breaks as needed. The view at the top was definitely worth it. Highly recommend this tour.

    Our tour guide gunawan kept us laughing the whole way and was very supportive when we needed to stop for a break! He also became our personal photographer! We met lots of people and had breakfast/hot drinks served to us at the top! The sunrise was amazing and can’t wait to come back!
