Private Thai cooking lessons. I have been teaching Thai cooking since 2004, using a collection of more than 100 family recipes from three generations. You choose which dishes you want to cook, and you will prepare all dishes under my instruction in a hands-on cooking experience. This is an activity for 1-6 people of all ages, and is suitable for beginners as well as professionals. The time is flexible, so if you want to start earlier or later in the day, please let me know.

What To Expect
Prepare and cook your favorite Thai dishes from a selection of more than 100 family recipes. I have been teaching Thai cooking since 2004 to visitors from all over the world. You will learn how to cook my dishes from scratch using fresh ingredients, with no preservatives and no MSG.

Great home cooking with an experienced Thai Cook

5.00It was great to shop in a very authentic local market where we discussed the dishes we would like to cook. We were shown the different types of vegetables, fish and meat with explanations of what you would use them for. Our teacher showed us how to prepare the various ingredients in her home and then ensured we knew what to do practically with them . We then cooked three dishes which we then had for lunch. The whole experience was very informative and relaxed and we were made to feel at home

5.00A wonderful experience as part of our Thailand holiday January 2026. Angsana offers a good selection of authentic Thai recipies to cook from scratch at her home in Bangkok. If you want to, you can even arrange to go to the local market with Angsana to get the ingredients! Angsana has a family history that includes successful street market food. She speaks fluent English and offered invaluable advice on how to vary the recipies we chose. Also on ingredient substitutions with UK availability.

5.00We couldn't figure out why we had to drive an hour out of Bangkok for a cooking class, but it was well worth the time. Everything was so clean and organized and we had a great time learning the recipes and enjoying our dishes!

5.00Angsana was an amazing cooking instructor and so much fun! We were 1/2 hour late due to an inefficient Grab driver, and she didn't make us stress or worry about it a bit. She was a wonderful resource for all of our questions about food and culture and just a fun person to hang out with for the day. Our three dishes - Pat Thai Gung (fried noodles with shrimp), Lamuek Neung Manao (Steamed squid stuffed with pork in chili/lime sauce), and Ho Mok Talay (steamed curry fish, shrimps and squid in banana leaf cups). I knew the Pat Thai was a total cliche for an American to want to make, but I wanted to see how it was done properly. That said, the other two dishes were so much more amazing and I wish we had chosen something new to us. We went to the market and despite living in Latin America and experiencing many fresh markets, we still found it super interesting to have Angsana answer all of our silly questions (and found out the whole purpose of the live eels and turtles they sell). She also persuaded us to try the fermented egg and it was wonderful! This is money well spent; you are treated great and the meal you make is incredible (and obviously fresh).

5.00We had an amazing time at this Thai cooking class — an absolute highlight of our trip! Our group of four (my wife, daughter, our daughter’s boyfriend, and myself) joined the class and had a blast preparing four delicious dishes: green chicken curry, som tam (Thai papaya salad), stuffed steamed squid, and pad see-ew (stir-fried noodles with pork and kale). Each dish was not only fun to make but incredibly flavorful and authentic. The best surprise of all? Our daughter turned out to be a former student of Angsana, our instructor! It was such a special and heartwarming coincidence that added a personal touch to the entire experience. Angsana was wonderful — patient, engaging, and passionate about Thai cuisine. She guided us step by step, sharing not only recipes but also cultural insights and cooking tips we’ll carry home with us. We left the class feeling full, happy, and inspired to try these recipes again. Highly recommend this experience to anyone who wants a hands-on taste of Thai cooking in a warm, welcoming setting!

5.00By far my favorite activity from vacation. I have taken other cooking classes and this no doubt the best class and instruction, far better than any other class. I can definitely understand why many people choose to take this class every time they visit Thailand and I will definitely do the same next time I return. Angsana is very accommodating and I am very thankful for her letting us into her home and teaching these great recipes. The food we cooked was the best Thai food we had on the entire trip and I can’t wait to try it again. I definitely recommend trying a recipe you have never eaten before, you never know when you might discover your new favorite dish. The fried catfish with mango was new for me and now one of my favorite Thai dishes. Was a very enjoyable experience and very nice to meet Angsana’s mom and the kitty Filo.

5.00Angsana picked us up at the BTS On Nut station, drove us to the market and chose the ingredients of the 3 dishes selected by us: fried crab rice, Kad Prakao and lemongrass fried fish. Once in his superb kitchen workshop, we participated in cutting vegetables and cooking dishes. Everything was very well explained and delicious. Angsana is sweet and pleasant. As a Frenchman, we managed to understand his explanations, his English is clear and not too fast. The only downside is the price. But it is a luxury to be able to choose what you want to learn and get out of the usual Pad Thai and green papaya salad that all group cooking classes offer.

5.00My husband, 8 year old son, and I had a great time cooking with Angsana. We picked what we wanted to make and she showed us step by step techniques and modified recipes to fit our preferences. Our son felt so proud to prep and cook his own dish. All of us learned a lot and it was a highlight of our trip!
