What To Expect
Berat
Explore the 2400 years old city castle that seats on a hilltop with a fantastic view of Osumi river and new city (communist era buildings) of Berat. Visit the castle Onufri museum of ikons, (Saint Mary's Church converted to museum) Visit the ruins of White and Red Mosque built during Ottoman occupation of Albania. Enjoy lunch in a traditional restaurant inside the castle where mixed meze, byrek, and lamb meat are a must try. Visit a Berat traditional house (Ethnographic museum), Visit the old Islamic Center, Bachelors mosque where youth used to hand out, the newly restored King's mosque where the elite would reside and the Helvetis Teche.

5.00Very enjoyable tour and learned much about the country's history and culture. The guide was amazing and enjoyable to spend the day with - he was very knowledgable about each historic site. Ended the day at Cobo winery, and one could not help but buy a few bottles after trying the offerings using local grapes. If I could do my trip all over again, I would book every tour with this company.
