Daniel and Diego provided an amazing day for our family. The kids, 6 and 9, loved the monkeys, sloths and chocolate factory. Us adults loved the runm factory, beach break and they even took us to a local resturant on the way back to the ship. The beach is one of the most beautiful ones we have been too. There were several starfish near the shore. We learned so much about Roatan and enjoyed every minute!

Good for families that don't want to be with large crowds. Alex was very informative and friendly We went to a viewing point for pictures, there they sold souvenirs, then Alex took us to the monkey sloth sanctuary where we had a personal guide, from there you get to go to the chocolate store, then we opted out of the rum location since we don't drink, we then went to paradise beach hotel for beach access (no beach chairs are included) so bring a towel. Then we headed back to the boat but stopped for a picture at the Roatan sign

We were skeptical at first, especially the way we were directed to meet up with the tour guide. We left the ship we were on and had to exit the port and encounter an unbelievable number of pushy tour companies peddling their tours just outside the port. It was overwhelming and a bit scarry for two of our members in our group. It took us awhile to find our tour guide and only by God’s grace did we eventually find him! I would strongly suggest a better way be found to connect tour guests with the tour guide in the future. Once we were able to begin our journey, things got better. The tour guide was especially caring, friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The individual stops throughout the journey were excellent and worth every penny, especially the sloth and monkey tour! Having said that, the only other concern regarding this excursion was the visit to the beach and what was not communicated by the vendor regarding the hotel at the West Bay Beach Break. In their own words: “To finish, relax for a while on the West Bay beach, We take our guests to an hotel where, you can bathrooms, Showers , Wi-Fi” was misleading and unhelpful. We were taken at first to a private resort hotel but then were asked to spend an additional $100! We declined and then were taken by our friendly tour guide to a public beach access place where we were strongly encouraged to spend money on food and drink in order to use the facilities. It would be beneficial and necessary to know ahead of time which “hotel” this vendor uses to decide on purchasing this excursion or not. In the end it worked out fine and we would definitely use the tour guide again, but probably not with this vendor Alex Roatan unless they are more forthcoming with good and accurate information.

I had an amazing experience with Alex Tours during my visit to Roatan. Alex and Joel were incredibly personable, friendly, and knowledgeable, providing excellent insights into the Honduran way of life. We toured the local neighborhoods, the Monkey/Sloth exhibit, Chocolate Factory. Then finished at West Bay Beach. Joel (aka Jackie Chan) was hilarious! Infectious laugh! Very Informative. They went above and beyond to make my family and me feel welcome and safe throughout the entire tour. Their professionalism and warmth truly made our trip unforgettable. I highly recommend Alex Tours to anyone visiting Roatan—it's an experience you won't want to miss!

Klinsman was an informative guide and the animal sanctuary was great. But he was sent to the wrong hotel. We were then told to meet at a different spot (about a 10 minute walk) where we waited another 10 minutes for our guide. We did not go to the rum factory, the Roatan sign or the beach. The weather wasn't great for the beach so that was understandable. The tour said 3-5 hours. Ours was less than 2.

Klinsman was very knowledgeable and a great guide, but we did not stop at the rum factory, the Roatan sign or the beach. I understand not stopping at the beach because the weather wasn't great. The tour said 3-5 hours. Ours was less than 2. Our guide was late because it was the wrong hotel. We ended up walking to a meeting place and waiting. The person at Alex's blamed us for the wrong hotel even though my message stated the correct one. Definitely will not use them again.

Alex was great! Made my family of 5 (3,6,10) all feel comfortable. From the pick up through the day he was very knowledgeable of the island and helped tailor make our trip. We did the sloth park and the beach. Would recommend him without hesitation!
