The trip was average. Reasons why not given a five star was that we were in a group of 24 and couldn’t hear anything the guide said. Also we only had 3 hours of free time to eat lunch sight see and shop. This isn’t long enough for this beautiful place. We also were disappointed that the sound of music sites didn’t include the Hellbrun palace. We thought the bus would drive by it but the bus ride is only on the city bus not a tour bus. The trip should start an hour earlier and depart Salzburg an hour later. Salzburg was amazingly beautiful and one could spend a couple days here. I would recommend going there by train on your own early in the morning and doing the 4 hour sound of music tour and then spending the rest of the day in town returning back to Munich after a nice dinner.

Salzburg is such a beautiful and spectacular city—just walking the streets was magical. Our guide, Jeremy, did a fantastic job managing the transportation on the public train and bus. We always knew when and where to be with no stress. He also did a fantastic job giving us an overview of the old city and recommending things to do during the free time based on our interests. We chose to eat a nice meal, take the cograil up to the fortress, enjoy an ice cream in the square and tour the many shopping streets and alleys. There was certainly more to do in Salzburg than can be fit into the 3 hours free time, and we chose to have a relaxed and truly spectacular afternoon.

Loved this day trip! Salzburg is beautiful and there is so much to see. Our guide, Christian, was amazing. He was so nice and personable and knew a lot about the area. We had plenty of free time to see the sights around the town. Highly recommend!!

Went to Salzburg with Nick! He definitely knows how to navigate the area and personally marked on the maps he handed out what to see & where to meet up. He made the best of the late train & even personally helped us make our way on the Underground back to our hotel! Wish all tour guides were like him!
