What To Expect

Louvre Museum

Your guide will show you key pieces from this era and bring you to the venus de milo. From then you will move through Roman sculptures and learn to analyse the differences between greek, roman, and other genres of sculpture before moving into the Etruscan collection. Your introduction into antiquity culminates with Winged Victory of Samorthrace. From here, you will see one of the few rooms left in the louvre in its original condition and then move on to Italian renaissance. See how art evolved in such a short period of time on your way to the Mona Lisa

Adam's guided tour of the Louvre was our families trip to Paris. He was engaging, informed, passionate, and thought provoking. For the rest of our trip the kids would comment "this would be better if Adam could show us it". We are a family of four with a 12 and 15 year old. Adam ensured the tour was relevant for us all and connected it brilliantly to our kids world and references today. It would be east to get lost in the Louvre, however Adam's ability to bring the right highlights to us and weave an engaging story through out kept us all in focus. We strongly recommend Adam for your Lourve experience.

Adam was the highlight of our busy time in Paris! I had my children (ages 10 & 12) and my mother (age 70) with me on the tour, and we all adored him equally! He is incredibly knowledgeable, not just on the art and the louvre itself, but also on the best ways to get around and ways to best view the masterpieces. He’s truly an expert! On any tour we took after his, there was a collective “it was ‘pas mal’ (not bad)…but it wasn’t Adam!’ I would recommend him to anyone and everyone!

Tina with Fat Cat Tours was incredible! Her knowledge and expertise was exactly what we needed to explore this enormous museum. As an art teacher, I was so thrilled with her depth of knowledge but she also made it completely relatable for my "non artsy" husband. I can not recommend this tour company enough!

Fantastic ! Our tour guide, Violette Andre was very knowledgeable and personable. Any questions we had were answered and she made our experiences enjoyable, with some humour tossed in. The explanations of histories past with regards to the paintings and yes, the Louvre itself were great. We were thrilled to see the Mona Lisa portrait.

Adam is truly a gem. He greeted us with warm enthusiasm and learned all of our names. His commentary on walks between works was so witty and made the experience so much fun. When it comes to the art, science, and history of each piece, Adam knows it all! Both my partner and I walked away with a true understanding of cultural significance of each piece we saw. Adam took time at each piece (after securing us the best vantage point to view it) to truly explain and then answer all questions. Yet, we also moved fast enough that we even got to see one additional room usually not part of the tour! It was the most incredible experience, thanks to Adam. Can't recommend these tours enough! Team Adam for life!
